It looks like Appleseed will be released in theaters on the 14th of this month. Unlike Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, this will feature an english dub

Wow....
This looks way cool.
I have never been able to enjoy subtitled movies very much. I get distracted trying to read and watch the movie and I get all lost and frustrated so unless it's unavoidable I watch a dubbed version. Which I don't have a problem with as far as anime goes. I don't mind the english voice acting... sounds fine to me. I was never sure why people get do down on the english dubs. It's not like we can even understand what the people are saying in japanese so the argument of us losing the original intent (inflections and emotion) doesn't hold up. Unless you speak both languages of course. Then, nevermind.

I understand people Hate dubs, but why? I think some of the dubbed are way better than the japanese ver. but thats just one mans opinion, Appleseed looks sick ^^
I don't think anyone in this thread has said they hate dubs If anything its the opposite.
So true, but theres always those people that're like "WOMZG I HATE DUBS!" and then your only thought is "Die....." Bravo to the people here so far who look at dub as a good thing
