I just recently got a PS3.

I know most of the ATers game on the Xbox 360, since it's the obvious online system of choice (cause I got one too). I picked it up after the discounted system came out. There's more solid titles coming out for 2008 (rpgs), so I figured it would be good to pick it up now. My question is if any other ATers are active with their PS3; since I'm not even sure how the PS3 online dashboard works. Do I have to pay for a subscription to play certain online games, or are all game online free to play, except for the downloaded shit? I know I can DL games, but fuck that.

From my looks now, the title list is pretty lacking. I'm just glad I picked it up right before Devil May Cry 4 and Dynasty Warriors 6 came out. It just doesn't seem like a smart choice to get a PS3 now as your only system of choice, when the library is so small. But since I've got everything else, the PS3 was the only system left to get, sooooo... I got it.

If there's any titles I'm missing out on now or should get in the future, what is it (ignoring MGS4 and FF13 for a sec)? Seems like the 360 and Wii are where the party is at.

I was thinking of posting this on the ga(y)mefaqs message board, since the fan boys would fill me in with a full 2008 line up.

I got a PS3 myself. (Gamertag Wiryu) I can say the best game by far on the system is Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. It's just a blast from start to finish. Very action oriented, with an indiana jones feel. It's a good addition to the library of games. ;)

That aside, resistance isn't halfbad, and I just started in on folklore, so i'll let you know how that goes. I don't think the online part is ptp, but I just don't pay a whole lot of attention to my CC bill.

Yeah I don't have have a PS3 as well but I've been hearing a bunch of good shit about Drake's Adventure. To put it simply' "Its the best game ever made about some dood in a T-shirt and jeans." A review about the game.

Yeah, Uncharted is really the only PS3 game on my radar at the moment. Ratchet and Clank is supposed to be really good too, if the platformer thing is your bag. Outside of that, everything else worth playing is multiplatform, so there isn't too much setting it apart from the tree-siddy as far as exclusives go. Even on the RPG front 360 is still a better platform these days. (Although Ps2 is really the system of choice if JRPGs are what you want to play.)

Unless something ultra amazing somehow releases I won't get a PS3 till MGS4 comes out later this year.

EDIT: Also, why the preference for PS3 on DMC4? Even with the requisite hard drive install, the load times are reportedly 1 sec less than the 360's, and the graphics are identical.

EDIT EDIT: Dynasty Warriors 6 is also coming out on 360... so why did you get a PS3 again? lol

All the games mentioned are coming out for the 360 as well, it's just that I can actually buy something for the PS3. PS3 graphics are slightly more improved for Dynasty Warriors 6, although, it's not enough to warrant a purchase for a ps3 alone. If the online capabilities for the 360 are more appealing, i'll get the 360 regardles.


I actually did play Uncharted for the PS3 and I beat it. It was actually a good game. I don't think getting Uncharted is worth a PS3 alone, but it's a definate purchase for any action gamer.
