Yeah, offline mode is much MUCH easier to level in, and your stats are way higher as well. Can't really even compare the two really.

Can't really even compare the two really. really? damn my female beast is level 68 now and im starting to find 10 star s-ranks in the hive :D i found these cool long as hell daggars called "daggars of serafi" :o. btw is ranger better online? ive tried one offline and it seems like it would be great in a team setting but offline they suck because the npc's dont attack unless monsters are close to you so i end up doing all the work. sometimes when my beast levels up i get 13 atp O_O -------------------- |

RA is solid online, less "burst" dmg than hunters, but the DPS is equal if not superior because there is little to no pause between a rangers attack, save for repositioning. Now Force, i made a force to see what its like, and i must say at the early levels at least, it seems REALLY strong, maybe even stronger than HU's, but of course, not as durable.

The big flaw with FO that I notice is, esp. in RELICS, the time for the casting animation is to long and enemy has moved outta the way by the time the technic goes off causing wasted PP. Also I think the lock on is ass backwards, RAs and FOs should have it, since HUs have no problem hitting, though the strafting is somewhat handy.

Offline is super easy and its a good way to get an idea about what weapons/guns/techs you'll like the best online, due to the easy ability to level up PAs and techs. I played offline for like 5 or 6 hours and I've got numerous weapons in the +12 range. I can get them all to 30 in no time and get a feel for what I will prefer online.
As for online classes. HU's deal the most damage. RA doesn't match a HU's damage. A FO's tech does crazy damage and its usually better then the highest damaging HU PA per hit (Spear weapons get something like 140% amp at decent PA levels). The thing is a Tech shoots once for 600+, a HU PA hits 3 or more times in that one tech shot for 300. So, overall a HU does more damage at higher levels. This gap increases further, but techs become a lot easier to use. This becomes more of a pain against tech resistant enemies. Targeting becomes less of an issue when you get your ra-techs to 11. The range is fairly massive and you can aim terribly and still get lucky with a tag, making Relics a lot more bareable. Problem is that it takes a heck of a while to get your Ratechs to 11. Techs just level slower then PAs in general, many of which have wonky leveling schemes. My Radiga is like level 15, but Razonde is at level 10 now. Radiga took way longer to level then my Razonde. Both my Rafoie and Rabarta are at pitiful levels. |

actually i tried a beast ranger now instead of cast and i can say beast ranger are pretty amazing.unlike casts they actually have the evasion to withstand attacks(my cast ranger and hunters are always dirt napping because they cant evade for shit.) and can pump out some savage damage by shooting monsters in the face at point blank range with a shotgun. plus since your a ranger you actually have the ata to put the power blast badge to good use. my beast ranger does more damage with power badge than my beast hunter does with the accuracy badge, and if my beast hunter tried to use power she would spam 0's. i crafted a A rank shotgun and if i hit a monster with its elemental weakness it can 100+ damage per shot. so at lvl 11 thats 400 dmg and at lvl 21 its 500 dmg. my hunter is strong but she cant bust out that kind of dmg in an instant like that.
