If you're picking up MW2 at Gamestop, they have a special trade in thing going where you $40 credit for trading in two qualifying games from this list.
I'm not one to really trade in game, but this isn't too bad compared to what you usually get from Gamestop. -------------------- |

I'm so glad I'm not taking any classes this semester. Else I'm sure I'd be fucking up a few of them. Also, Night vision goggles work surprising well.

Alright, just wrapped up the campaign a few minutes ago. What a roller coast ride, its almost too intense when you're playing, a little overwhelming! I think I made a mistake picking "hardened" difficulty my first time through tough, the challenge is a lot higher in MW2 compared to COD4, and I got a bit frustrated at some parts when I'd rather just be taking in the chaos/action. I'd suggest playing it through on regular the first time just to spare yourself.
Did anyone else get an MGS4 vibe at the end when Price and Shepherd were duking it out? Two dudes with boss moustaches CQCing each other to the death! And that whole end bit where you're crawling to the revolver and he kicks it away, then you PULL THE DAMN KNIFE OUT OF YOUR OWN HEART! SHIIIIII! I'd have to say I had high expectations for MW2, and so far its exceeded all of them. The campaign blows the original out of the water, and theres dozens and dozens of small changes to multiplayer that have really made dramatic changes to how you play. The competitive multi mode feels a lot more balanced now, with things like drop packages, death streaks, customized killstreaks/hardline, and support weapons leveling the playing field. -------------------- |

I just finished the game and here's a question: What happened to Makarov?
Did I miss something? Did anyone else get an MGS4 vibe... Like old times? -------------------- |

yeah personally, I'm a little pissed off. Since you don't find out what happens to Makarov an enemy you truly learn to hate and what the fuck happens to you as the American solider Ramirez. It feels like there wasn't any real closure in the game and it just ends.

Lets get some tactics together and throw down in Search and Destroy mode tomorrow.
What builds have you guys found to be effective so far? I was working on a stealth setup today and was kicking some crazy ass with this: P90 - silenced G18 Scavenger Cold-blooded Commando Pro I swapped out Commando for Ninja to level it up, but with cold blooded you can be completely safe from UAVs and any support weapons, its crazy haha. I was working with the radar scrambler before but it didn't really help as much as cold-blooded did, and if anything it lets them know you're nearby. Gotta get ninja to Pro and see if the silent movement is worth having it on instead of commando. What's a good combo for sniping? I'm using scavenger/stopping power/commando currently, with the intervention. Trying to get it to ACOG. But not having much luck :( -------------------- |

I use ninja on my sniper and stealth class. I think it's a good perk since cold blooded doesn't stop you from being detected on heartbeat sensors. Here's my sniper build.
Barrett .50 Cal or Intervention. Bling perk, Thermal Scope and Full Metal Jacket Stopping power Pro Ninja Claymores or tactical insertion for equipment and smoke for special Grenade. Managed to get off my first Tactical nuke with this class. -------------------- "Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. Anyone have strategies for dealing with these fucking cocksuckers using the Akimbo 1887 combo? I swear the last 3 days or so every fucking game I get into has at least 2 assholes using this shit.
Forget "noobtubes" or "campers" or anything else anyone complains about, this Akimbo 1887 bullshit is fucking ridiculous and is taking a lot of the fun out of the game. Also, watch out for this glitch to become more prevalent in the coming days: Its like martyrdom except with your Javelin rocket, every time you die :( -------------------- |

I got sick of getting raped, so I totally redid all my custom classes from the ground and, and its made a huge difference! My previous builds were pretty standard fare stuff, AR+Sleight of Hand+Stopping Power, SMG+Shotty with stealth perks for indoors, sniper with stopping power/steady aim pro, etc etc.
I redid all my classes with a metal gear boss motif , here's some of the ones that have worked out the best: Machinegun Kid SCAR-H (switching between FMJ or Holographic depending on the map) Stinger (this is my only anti-air class now, before i had stinger on 3 classes) Frag Grenade/Flash Grenade Sleight of hand pro Hardline pro (I used to always pair stopping power with ARs but with the more powerful ones like the SCAR and M16 it doesn't really seem necessary) Commando Pro The Fear (aka "Captain Stabbin'") Mini-Uzi (Using rapid fire now but leveling it up towards akimbo or holographic) USP / Tactical Knife (The USP is damn accurate, I kill more dudes with it than the Uzi) Marathon (With this build, if you're not hiding waiting for someone to walk past, you're running. No walking, EVER!) Throwing Knife/Stun Grenade Lightweight Commando Pro (If its not entirely obvious, this build is pretty much all stabs all the time. Since you get the same mobility with a Sniper Rifle as you do with an SMG, I'm toying with the idea of swapping the primary weap out for an M21 EBR rifle, just to give it more versatilty. As it stands I don't stop moving to shoot much though.) The End FAL / ACOG or Thermal (for mid-range sniping this gun is way more effective than any of the "true" sniper rifles, barely any muzzle jump when you fire. Thinking of taking this build silent with bling.) USP Akimbo Claymore/Stun Grenade Sleight of Hand Pro Stopping Power Pro Steady Aim Pro (This is entirely for the Akimbo USPs, which are retardedly devastating with Stopping Power) I also adjusted my killstreaks upwards, before I would just stick with the lower rewards so I would get them more often, but I'm finding its more worthwhile to start with the Predator at 5, and build up from there so I can get 2 "big" ones. Right now I go Pave Low and then Chopper Gunner, although I think I'll have better luck getting to the chopper gunner by changing it up to Attack helicopter/Harrier Strike. That way I can go 5 > hopefully a double ko with the predator > 7 > then let the chopper do the work for me to 11. -------------------- |

Most definitely, going for harrier for your 2nd killstreak is the better option since you can usually get it with the predator missile then the air-strike comes in for the harrier which is good for the very least of two kills if you position it right and you should either have or be 1 kill away from you big reward, chopper gunner or AC130
I've noticed that the AC130 is good for really one map, which is Afghan and one other map where it like in a brazilian jungle village with a empty river bed and bridges. That's because you can spawn camp them with it and get ridiculous kill. All other maps though obstruct your targeting while the chopper gunner is much more maneuverable and can spot the target for you in many of the vertical maps this game has. My kill streak perk use to be Harrier, AC130, Tactical Nuke. I've switched it to Pave Low, Chopper Gunner, Nuke I haven't played enough though to really get results since I've just been too busy with my PC. Been playing Lots of DoW2, Left 4 dead 2, and now Warhammer Online. I guess I kinda burnt myself out with MW2 by playing too much CoD4. Also I'm not too keen on most of the maps in the game. I'm sure I'll come back to the game eventually though. -------------------- "Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. Crazy shit going on in MW2 now, I dunno if its a hack or a glitch, but lots of games have unlimited ammo now. Its crazy! They should make a mode like this as a seperate playlist Took a video of it this morning.
