I leaving to Denver today to go skiing! I have no experience in skiing nor did I do the exercises (that my brother and sister urged me to do). Soooo I might end up getting hurt more than I'm supposed to. Doesn't look like the weather is gonna be easy on me either...

Check ya later peeps! guitarist.gif

How many different ways can you say "I'm jealous!!" ??? !!!!!

We need to start a betting pool for which injury DJ is gonna get. Kinda like in basketball during the Final Four.. except this will be for like a broken arm, broken leg, pulled groin, missing an eye.. things like that.
Put me down for $5 on broken leg.

beigelaugh.gif

oh yeah... i hope you're going somewhere else to ski besides Denver, DJ. The slopes at Stapleton aren't all that. hehe...

The first time I went skiing I broke my leg. =( Whatever you do just remember this... the pizza slice technique does NOT work. Saveyourself the frustration and a rent a snowboard instead. Anyway, enjoys man!

I've been skiing since I was six - it's hella fun. Albeit, at this age I'm supposed to be trendy and snowboarding.

Don't break anything :] Should've come to Utah - best snow on earth, biiiiiiiatch!

Skiing is super fun, just don't run into any trees or rocks. They aren't as soft as they look!

And use the "pizza slice" (or wedge) if this is your first time. You don't need to be going 80mph towards the ski lodge when you don't know how to stop beigelaugh.gif

Snowmobiling -.-

Heres a good tip, going skiing at incredible rates? "Oh no theres the lodge and i don't know how to stop at 342 mph!"

SUPER FORCE FALL!!!

This by no means will get you out of the situation unbruised, it will hurt like hell, but will hurt much less then skiing into a building ;)

I remember this - and those little clips they put on the edge of your skiis to make sure that you can't mow down ususpecting old people.

Have fun, but PLEASE don't pull a Sonny Bono. They don't give those slopes names like "Widow Maker" for nothing.

Wassup guys. I just came back from Denver and man, I am sore as hell (mostly from the snow tubing cry2.gif.. in one of the slides there was a ramp that tosses you in the air. one guy told me to keep my ass up. I tried but my ass hit the snow as I landed.)

Anyway, I went to Copper Mountain. Not as cold as I thought it would be. The first day was frustrating. The bunny slopes were OK, but I still didn't know how to stop haha.
My brother asked if we wanted to go on the Green (beginner) slopes, I said whatever.
Well most of the green slopes weren't that beginner friendly... especially if you don't know how to slow down. I ended up wiping out a bunch of times. One time (I have no idea how) I seemed to kicked myself in the nuts. Yes it hurts but it didn't leave me hurting the next day. Oh yea, that pizza slice move didn't work for me on the first day. I couldn't really get the concept down. So I had to rely on falling down with style.

The second day was much better. They opened up another section of the green slopes, which was alot easier. This time the pizza slice move worked. I have no idea how I was doing it wrong the day before. I only fell twice the whole day. So I had fun. I just got turning down that day so I could actually avoid people.
I'd go again next year if given the chance.
My ass still hurts though. No broken bones =)

I'm not sure how. Both of my ski boards snapped off before it happened so I doubt that was it. Still, it was a terrible blow to my groin.
