Due to your kindness for the Hobo Cup and me not having enough people, you are all invited to the Insanity Elite Round Robin Tournament Bash (I.E.R.R.T.B). Because I'm lazy, I'll just do a copy and paste job here:
What: The Insanity Elite Round Robin Tournament Bash (I.E.R.R.T.B) will be a round robin tournament (duh!). When: Rules: Map-Tower of Caelum Rules - Character HP = 20 | Dice Exchange = No exchange | Cards Allowed = N-rank The 2 people with the highest score will face off in a final match. If there is a tie for 2nd place, they will face off to see who fight 1st place. If there are more than 2 people tied for 2nd or 1st place, they will have a mini round robin with themselves. A final match will still take place. Prizes: 1st Place will get: A PSO Doujinshi!!! Runner Up will get: A $10 Gift Card to Blockbuster! (If you win 2nd place and are not in the United States...... I'll figure something out) -------------------- |

It is a one on one deal. I can't simply dupe the doujinshi!
And since experience levels are so spread apart, I feel that the card restriction is the only way to level the playing field. It's not who has the better card, its who can play the card better. -------------------- |

I thought Caelum would be most balanced because it's a 5x5 grid. That way Arkz won't be too challenging to reach while Hunters still have to move a deal to get to the Arkz. Plus it has great music . And date-wise details should be in soon. I wanna know what night is better for people, friday or saturday? *~*~*~*E D I T*~*~*~* Well, actually, there doesn't really have to be a date. It IS a round robin and would require a great deal of time to complete. But I was gonna have "official" playing times where you can meet up with your opponents. Cuz if I get say 10 people in this, having 10 rounds in 1 day would be LOOOOOONG!! -------------------- |

why would you want to make it easy to get to arkz? the idea of arkz is to use creatures and run away. using the 5x5 grid doesnt allow space for arkz to escape, and a shot or slicer type will own the arkz. best i could say is use Sinus, if you want a small space, but i would say use Fons.
I also noticed the N rank only. thats interesting, but techs will definatly own it, seeing as barely any tech resist is offered in N ranks. |

Ancient Sabers and Ill Gills would pwn under these restrictions as well, along with techs.

I see people keep talking about R rank cards when the match is restricted to N rank

Actually, Arkz can easally run in Caleum. If it's 2 on 2, then it get's harder, but there's plenty of room. Look:
Narrow and long=Good for Arkz Wide and short=Good for Hunters Since Caelum is a 5x5 square, I feel that it balances things out to have as little advantages as possible. And there are ways around techs. Gotta use TP Def and the weapon/creature guards. I haven't even SEEN an Ill Gill yet.... I might have seen an ancient saber. If I didn't put card restrictions, there would be a horrible imbalance that even AC9Breaker and DJ Donkey feared. Just deal with the restrictions, like the Free Battle quests with no action cards O_O! There's always a way to counter things. I don't believe ST made the game unbalanced like that. -------------------- |

The level itself isn't for ark at all. Since hunters can be within attacking range in 1 turn. With little space for arkz to run. Not only that, but arkz wouldn't be able to set anything big. Even a 4cost would be plastered against the back on that map. Theres just no way I can see an ark deck being able to hold off a hunter with 3 movement on that map.
