HA, 3 deep sounds like an illegal porno.
Semi off topic: In actuality, little kids are pretty defenseless in a dangerous real life situation. So it's really realistic training for basic survival and developing positive self esteem, geared for little kids. Kinda like watching Barney. Running away, avoid conflict, etc etc... You really can't expect a little kid to jump kick a grown-up into a oblivion and encouraging backyard brawls in school leads to more problems, albeit mad props by your peers. Granted the presentation is pretty ghey, but it's really not about teaching kids how to MMA fight, but giving parents a good reason to send to their kids to a class they can feel good about. Part of the problem lies with the fact that it gives martial art schools this "Mc-Dojo" sensation. Real life situations are rough and gritty and it takes real hardcore training to lay it down on your attacker(s). Most attackers will surprise you, blind side, or you attack you in groups, all while using a weapon. If you're ever attacked, it means you're at a disadvantage, because an attacker will never fight you fair and square. Sucker punch, sucker stab, whatever you want to call it, an attacker is a coward and wants to surprise you and not get hurt in the process. Tigers, one of the fiercest animals in the jungle will attack humans when his or her back is turned, not when a human is facing them directly. Attackers will do the same. "Mister, do you know which direction to East 24th street?" "Sure, it's 2 blocks this way and than you make a... *POW*" The guy slugs you in the face as you turn your head to point toward the direction and he runs off with your wallet... Granted it's a sucker punch and you'll be fine, but that's how attackers operate, on surprise and putting you at a disadvantage. Where's you're 3 deep now? Part of self defense is looking to avoid being placed in disadvantageous situation by minding your surrounds and being in an alert state of mind. Since you are being attacked, probably by more than one person, you can just own your attacker based upon shear bodily conditioning and technique, but that takes some serious dedication and training to KO someone with ease. But because we live in the real world, avoid having to fight a gun toting/knife wielding crackhead because you seem like an aware target is way easier then having to actually fight. Two attacker are a lot less likely to attack a target who aware he or she is being stalked, than one who is not. Even if it's a small female, staring you're potential attacker in the face and taking a defense stance can scare them off, even if realistically, two men could easily over power her. For the attacker, it's just not worth the risk (she could be carrying a gun). Problem is, she might feel too embarrassed to do so, if its accidently just some regular guy walking down the street. Thing, is that if you practice self defense, you don't give a shit and you'll do what needs to be done to prevent your self from being in a position of potential compromise. |

hahaha, the other guy can't keep up in the fighting game with his outdated technology which relies on his thumbs. Some stuff you need to do just isn't possible with a STANDARD controller.
