Apperantly the maintanenace that took place last night was for a new quest. The quest is a joint effort quest that starts in PSO ep 2 and ends in PSO ep3. So far I have confirmed that its not available in the US ships. It is only accesable through the JP ships and only if your settings are set in JP. The quest takes place in Temple/Spaceship. Mostly temple, and you are introduced to some PSO 3 characters. Im sure though that in time it will be accesable under normal conditions to us US folks.
From what I have deducted you have to guide two new rookie Hunters (AKA Noobs) through the VR exam. Your presented in the temple area 3 Challenges. Depending on how fast you clear these challanges is how you are ranked. I only completed the challenge called Rush which you basically just kill stuff. Actually in all of them you kill stuff but in the other two they add different factors. In the one called Labarynith(sp) you have to kill stuff and the maze part of the temple. The last challenge is darkness. Im assuming you have to kill stuff in the dark. Im also assuming if you get good rankings, then you may recieve a prize like a card once you finish the EP 3 part. I still have yet to make it to the spaceship area but thats what i was informed from a reliable source. I think he also mentioned 2 boss battles but I cant recall too well. Its pretty challenging as you cant go back to pioneer 2 to restock which makes it all the more fun. Even the NPC that accompany are a bit more evolved since they actually cast resta. But only when their health is like really low. Still their better then your average Anteras 8 noobs. This quest is located in the VR section and is one player only. Its the 3rd selection from the top. Theres more I have to say but i gotta go cause school > me... Thanx for the update AC9.
It's comforting to know we have a strong presence still on Ragol. We will conquer that planet if it's the last thing we ever do!  Question (and I guess we'll all find out tomorrow) - Does it matter if you have the US or JP version of EP3? side note - I have still yet to complete Seat of the Heart! --------------------  |

I am not sure here but maybe EP3 will not have a language selection as the JP version does not. So, to access the JP content you will have to have the game in JP settings, which means you will have to have a import. I am not for sure if they will have English settings only in the domestic release, but it may be true.
