I was doing a search on Flowen to try and find some of the backstory behind Epsiode II and I stumbled upon this little list of nuances within PSO. Not exactly knowledge you need, but I thought a few were rather funny. ^.^
1. In the Hunter's Guild, there are glowing blue dots on the floor. If you put your shadow on one dot, it will sparkle for a bit, then become still. Step off and repeat. *This no longer works in Episode 1 and 2 2. Bernie is a pun. Bernie is a Ranger, he usues the Flame Visit, and casts a type of Foie as a spell. Burning Rangers is another Sonic Team game. Hah. ![]() 3. Kireek sounds the same way said foreward as it does backward 4. The letters carved into the hilts of the Red Weapons spell "HeathCliff". But why? Rico carved the name of her mentor, Heathcliff Flowen into the hilts of all her weapons. 5. Pan arms' separate creatures are called Hidoom and Migium. The Japanese words for left and right are Hidari and Migi. So they just added some nonsense suffix to the ordinary word to name these two monsters. 6. The Delsaber has high-heel feet. 7. A ranger from Black Paper is named Gekigasky. Gekiga is the Japanese word for "Dramatic Pictures" 8. Berill means 'Mirror' in German, which is somewhat appropriate for this Sinow, except that it functions as the opposite of a normal mirror. It reflects what is behind it to the front in order to seem invisible. 9. Sinows are the most diverse enemy, they come in six different varieties. Beat, Gold, Blue, Red, Berill and Spiegel. The previous was borrowed from this website: http://psotnl.merlinwebs.com On a side note, the site has a few pretty hilarious comics as well. ^.- -------------------- PSN ID: USF_Tailgater

In v2 there was a downloadable quest for Japanese and import players that was called "Central Dome Fire". The song that played during the quest was the theme to Burning Rangers. I never gave thought to Bernie's name however ![]() |

Heh, I always say it "Kuh-reek", not "Key-reek". I guess I've been saying it wrong? -------------------- |

I remember hearing the Japanese version of it and getting that stuck in my head.

Until recently i didn't know why Heathcliff was the name of Flowen, but ever since DC i've always known it made heathcliff, i completed the set pretty fast thanks to a lucky pinkal. And d'oh...wish i had been there earlier to say Zoa and zele, it made me feel really clever lol, but you got there first.
Also Berill.... i think that means reflector, but generally it's translated it as mirror, and reflectors can be things that reflect light through a solid object, as if they weren't there, but i'm not sure on this, i just remember seeing a long explanation about the meanings of the names of all the enemies on PSO. -------------------- |

*more random stuff*
I think in PSO Language, Gue means something along the lines of leader. There are two enemies with Gue in their name, Gulgus-Gue (the red dog in ult forest that makes the Gulgus sad when he dies) and Gi-Gue, the giant ass Gee that we all love to hate =P Sinows hold the record for most enemy parts to come from them, S Beat Blades, S Red Blades, Berill Hands #0 and Berill Hands #1 (I dont think those are the exact names) All of them are dagger types, and the last two are the only dagger types that were added in since version 2 *will try and think of some more stuff later* |
