Most of you know about this already... but in a couple of weeks I'm packin my car up and moving out to Ft. Collins, Colorado. After living in Virginia for 20 years, I'm ready to get the heck outta here. Anyways, the point of this post is two-fold... First, I want to let everyone know that I'll be offline for a while during the move. I'll be leaving my home here on June 18th to spend a couple of days with my family before hitting the road west. I'll begin the trek to Colorado on the 20th. It'll probably take me at least two days to make the 1,600 mile drive. That'll put me in CO on a Saturday or Sunday, which means I'll have to wait 'til Monday to get into my new apartment. I should be back up and running soon after that.

Ok, the second and more fun reason for this post is this: I wanted to post my driving route to see if any of you live anywhere near by! If so, it would be really cool to stop off and meet you. =)

Doh! If I were visiting my family in Southern Illinois, I could've been able to meet up with ya. However, I won't be up there until August... beigedead.gif Anyhow, like Epyon said, /me lives in Florida as well. But to think, the furthest west I've ever been is St. Louis, MO. o.O Perhaps one day I'll find myself in Colorado to visit. X-D

*rolls into thread!* Yo! Yao! (Running gag last night beigelaugh.gif ) Anyway, that's cool that you'll be in teh CO. As you can see by that map there, CO Springs is about the same distance from Denver that Fort Collins is. (about an hour) So, We will have to chill sometime. Also though, I go to school in Greeley, which is actually quite close to Fort Collins. Either would work. We must Chill. See ya round! *rolls out thread* teleport.gif

Well Rinn is off on his journey. He tried to post his farewell here but the board was having a rare downtime. He managed to catch me with a private message on Voodoo Moose. Here is what he had to say.

Heya, I'm about to leave for Colorado.  I tried to post a good-bye on ATHQ, but it looks like the board was having some trouble right as I hit the post button. >.<

Anyways, tell everyone I said good-bye.  I'll be back online as soon as I can. =)

See you on the other side of the country!

Hey everybody! =D I made it to Colorado safely. I got here Saturday evening around 6pm local time. I've been staying with Zorya for the past two days, but I just moved into my new place today. Everything is going great getting set up and stuff. The only real bummer is that I won't have an internet connection until July 7th. =( But the good news there is that it will be a 640k DSL line! =D So hopefully my days of laggy-PSO are over.

Anyways, I just wanted to check in and let you all know I was still alive. ^.~ I probably won't be able to post or play online much until I get wired in my new place. But you can bet your bottom dollar I'll see you all on the 7th. =D

'Til then, take care and maybe I'll catch you at one time or another.

Whee-hoo!!

I know I'm kind of late in posting this(I just joined the forums a few days ago), but the route you took had you sandwiched between the two areas where I live and where my mom's family lives. My mom's family lives in Selmer, Tenessee and that's on the bottom of the map. Me, I'm much further up north in the cool(or at least it should be. It's gonna be 90 degrees tomorrow and it's not gonna get much cooler tonight) city of Detroit, MI. I just wanted to post since I am on that map. I'm glad you had a safe trip and I look forward to seeing you on PSO when you return. Forgive me if I'm being too curious but how long was the drive? It takes almost half a day (around 12 hrs) to drive fromt Detroit to Selmer but I love falling asleep in the back because I can't drive yet. beigelaugh.gif

Hey, coolness, welcome to the wonderful (most of the time) world of DSL. I have gotten some really really laggy nights a few times, but they usually only last a few (long and painful) hours when I want to play at night. You get yourself a static IP? Some ISPs are really stingy about that. I am lucky that my ISP only goes on staic IPs.

welcome back - it's good to know that everything went accordingly - Colorado is a nice place, i visited some relatives on my mother's side of the family several years before; i remember the mountains, crisp air - it made me realize that my body needed more work to hang with the locals - air be thin, says i.. >.<

lol, by the time you get set-up to play PsO again - i should have a keyboard *sigh* -.- time can be a cruel mistress when i least need it.. ;p

Nah, like I said... no internet connection for me until July 7th. I'm still playing quite a bit offline solo and multi with Z and friends. As fun as it all is, I miss you all a great deal and can't wait to get back online.
