This is a good move on the parents part, given how his mom described how much he loved his PS2.
I know when I was a kid, the VERY WORST punishment I would ever recieve was getting my videogame privileges taken away. I would rather have 100 spankings, move the lawn for 8 hours stright, or write 10,000 word essay than have my goddamn videogames taken away. There was NOTHING I loved more, and nothing more important than games. And believe me, I got my games taken away many-a-time  .
