Ghost in the Shell 2 was released today, your best is to find it a non-main stream theater. I'm gonna hit this move up tomorrow and I'll let ya know how it goes.

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, was awesome, first off it was subbed, (expect a dub on dvd, most likely with the first movie/tv show voice actors). The animation was mind blowing, a mix of high end cgi and standard animation techniques. The story is based on part of the original manga, that didn't make it into the first movie. The movie is set after the first movie and seems to be about a year later. Batou and Togusa are the main characters with the other members of Section 9 in supporting roles. I found it easy to follow, but some unfamilar with the GITS series may not and watching the first movie is a must. I rate it higher then Akira, but then again I rate anything with Fujiko Mine high then Akira
