I just got back from seeing the midnight showing of Return of the Sith, and I'm pleased to say that it didn't suck. It didn't suck so much, in fact, that I actually enjoyed it.
I think Lucas allowing himself to make a PG-13 movie let us see the darker side of the Star Wars story, and I liked it. I don't want to talk about the movie lest I give away spoilers and plot points, but I will say this: there was much butt-kicking to be done, and not just by the Jedi. R2 gets in on the action as well, which was comical but thoroughly enjoyable. I'd rate the movies in this order: Episode 4 Episode 3, 5, and 6 tied Episode 2 Episode 1 Edit: Correct grammar saves lives. -------------------- <center>

A flawed but satisfying end to the star wars saga.
Most of my concerns have already been covered in numerous reviews across the net already, so I won't go into it. Possible spoiler to follow... One of my favorite scenes is where Senator Organa comes to the Jedi Temple to see what is going on, and a Jedi Padawan engages the Clone Troopers, confirming to the senator that things are amiss, and buying him time to escape. |
