I just got back from seeing the midnight showing of Return of the Sith, and I'm pleased to say that it didn't suck. It didn't suck so much, in fact, that I actually enjoyed it.
I think Lucas allowing himself to make a PG-13 movie let us see the darker side of the Star Wars story, and I liked it. I don't want to talk about the movie lest I give away spoilers and plot points, but I will say this: there was much butt-kicking to be done, and not just by the Jedi. R2 gets in on the action as well, which was comical but thoroughly enjoyable. I'd rate the movies in this order: Episode 4 Episode 3, 5, and 6 tied Episode 2 Episode 1 Edit: Correct grammar saves lives. -------------------- <center>

This was all in the Dark Horse comics: Dark Empire, Dark Empire II, and Empire's End. Also Lucas as stated over and over again that there will not be a 7, 8, and 9, since he does care for all the work that others have put in to creating the expanded universe. Also it's my belief the the end scene on the ship's bridge, that its the prototype from the Jedi Academy triology and not the actual object in question. Since otherwise it put a big what the in the original triology due to the lengths of time involved. |
