Auronious posted this Link to an amazing story of 2 guys who played EQ2 over at InsanityElite. A really entertaining read about two dupers who had it all then lost it all by beeing too greedy. Its everquest meets Blow/Traffic/Scarface/Carlito's Way/Resovior Dogs/Fight Club/ and all the other good movies of the type.

My favorite part of the article.

Chapter 5: Boiler Room

This is when I started hitting the distributors. You name them, I sold to them. Rock bottom prices too. There was a time in EQ2 where if you had bought any gold off the internet, it was probably a 50% chance it was from us. Didn’t matter what company you bought from, we had a list of every company who bought currency and we probably hit 80% of them. Our money was spreading like syphillus at a nymphomaniac recovery summer camp.

The presentation of that story is complete brilliance, not since the Assassination of Lord British have I read of such outrageous online shenanigans. The shots of his house totally packed with Haulasian Maulers is hilarious.

This section reminds me of the movie Goodfellas, the court testimony speech in particular, where Henry gets up and starts talking to the camera.

Anything I wanted was a phone call away. Free cars. The keys to a dozen hideout flats all over the city. I bet twenty, thirty grand over a weekend and then I'd either blow the winnings in a week or go to the sharks to pay back the bookies. Didn't matter. It didn't mean anything. When I was broke, I'd go out and rob some more. We ran everything. We paid off cops. We paid off lawyers. We paid off judges. Everybody had their hands out. Everything was for the taking. And now it's all over.
