![]() </center>[/doHTML] Mythic Entertainment © has announced that Warhammer Online is in development for a 2007 release. Widely regarded as the inspiration for the Warcraft series of games, the Warhammer fantasy world will make it's appearance on the MMO scene sometime next year. Distinguishing itself from most online character development, Warhammer Online will not reward gameplay with standard "levels", instead your avatar will gradually change it's appearance and increase in size, grow beards, horns, etc. Still a long way off, but I am already excited about this game. Undoubtedly the first fantasy MMO I can truthfully say I am looking forward to. Chaos anyone? ![]() |

Indeed, it's almost impossible to accurately create digital Warhammer without Joe Mainstream crying for it's downfall as a WoW clone. Interestingly enough, the rumor is that the original Warcraft was initially designed for the Warhammer world, but the deal with Games Workshop fell through.
