This is where all gathered info goes. As new info comes in, I will edit this first post. Info will be mostly from PSOW but also from our personal playtime with the beta. OK So what's new? -There's an autorun feature which I guess comes in handy. You simply press left on the d-pad (or the "R" key on the keyboard) and boom you start to autorun. Pressing up or down on the d-pad triggers a follow command. If theres a party member nearby, you can follow them. Press up or down again to follow another person if any. It will highlight their name. You can cancel it out by pressing the autorun button again or when you do some other action like strafing. Here is a video of it in action. -Looking for party icons. New party options which can be seen here. You can set your status to "looking for party", "not looking for party", "soloing", etc. An icon will show up indicating your status. -New weapon types Photon whip - video by Ether Slicer - Slicer video. Normal attacks followed by the PA. Thanks to Epyon. Shadoogs - Gun type. They randomly shoot stuff as they come into range. They have an element attached to them. Madoogs - Tech type. Think of it as another wand in your left hand. You can assign techs to it. And they have PP. Madoog Madoog vs Wand: Casting speed comparison Madoog vs Wand: Consecutive casts -New SUVs Sword SUV: Gigas Espanda We are currently trying to get that SUV in the casino. I'll update as soon as we get it. -2 New Classes: Acrofighter & Acrotecher Acrofighter: S-ranks - twin sabers, saber, dagger, claw, slicer, handgun, shadoog A-ranks - twin handgun, card Level 40 Skills, Level 30 bullets Acrotecher: S-rank - Twin dagger, saber, dagger, whip, handgun, card, madoog A-rank - twin handgun, wand Level 20 skills, level 30 bullets, level 30 attack techs, Level 50 support techs. Upon further research, Acro-classes get a speed boost on their respective weapons. Namely, Twin Daggers for Acrotecher & Twin Sabers for Acrofighter. OK, so what does it mean? Imagine having a god/battle or Har/Quick unit and thats what you get. But in this case, you're not wearing any units and you get this speed boost by default. Not sure what other weapons are affected. Acrofighters & Acrotechers: Attack speed -Class changes Hunters/Rangers gets Shadoogs Forces get Madoogs. Figunner: A-rank Slicer and Shadoog Level 40 skills, level 30 bullets Guntecher: A-rank whips and Madoogs and S-rank Long bows Level 10 skills, level 40 bullets, level 20 attack techs, level 30 support techs Wartecher: A-rank whips and Madoogs, and S-rank wands level 30 skills, level 20 bullets, level 30 attack techs, level 20 support techs Fortefighter: Level 40 Skills, level 20 bullets. Fortegunner: A-rank Shadoog Level 20 Skills, level 40 bullets. Fortecher: Level 10 Skills, level 30 bullets, level 40 attack techs, level 40 support techs. Protranser: S-rank of all previously usable weapons Level 40 skills, level 40 bullets -Revamped room remodeling Check out a youtube video on it here. "There are new reform tickets available from the store. After using one of these, you get an episode 2 style room. These don't have the little boxes on the ground, and you can turn what is called the "room grid" on and off through your PM. When the room grid is on, you may add and remove my room items. Most items are 2x2 blocks on the grid, and theres even grid on the walls, shelves, and even on some of the room items you put in (you can put more items onto a table or shelf you buy)." *donkey's note: After you set an item down, you can rotate them in 4 directions and have them face whereever you want. Oh yeah, some of the room items are now interactive. You can sit on chairs you buy and turn on stuff like fans! Fan room item video. Pretty funny. -Revamped grinding system "The grind rate was lowered significantly, but the weapon is no longer destroyed when you fail a grind. This doesn't necessarily increase the number of highly grinded weapons because of the lower rate." Other tidbits -You know how when you move from planet to planet, it triggers the cutscene where you fly off to a particular planet? Doesn't happen anymore. At least not on the beta. -You can now warp directly to a field base instead of going through the first mission, etc., etc. I read that it requires a small fee but, its totally free in the beta. -You can view your class level above your head now. -Additional graphical touches like facial expressions and (semi) real-time shadows are present in the game. Shadows: Expressions: -Trap prices are lowered. -Character customization has been revamped a bit. New hairstyles and headgear are available. Choosing a head accessory is now done in a separate window. Though it does not mean that you can put any accessory on any hairstyle. I thought you could but that's not the case. -Of course there's new clothes. Additional info pulled from Itsuki's FAQ from PSOW. I will add more as it comes. Yeah, that triple SUV was awesome. That thing can do some massive damage. I would've loved to see that used on a boss, especially since there's no damage cancel.
