With today's post of this tidbit. We have a release date of Sept 18th for WAR. As some are aware I was lucky enough to get in to closed beta about a month ago now. Keep watching this space as I am working on a massive writeup with lots of fancy screen shots and other goodies to post once the NDA is lifted. What I will say for now is that this is by far one of the best betas for an MMO I have been in and have loved every minute of it. If you like the PvP, this game is for you.

Can you hit guys with the flag, like in Halo?

Sort of; you get a 100% health rez, a damage shield that absorbs almost all dmg, and an ae knockback as a standard bearer.

edit: I should mention for those who didn't read my writeup or what not, packing a flag like this is not the same as a ctf. That standard is a mark of the guild, it grants stat and other bonus' to all those around me. However I cannot attack or use any normal skills while holding it, just the few skills granted via guild unlocks like rez, ae knockback etc. One boost for me is 25% run speed so that i can run in, plant the flag which then emits a larger ae of the boosts and can then return to normal combat. The enemy can kill me while I have it or grab it while its on the ground destroying it. This rewards them by removing the standard buffs for us, and gives them an item that can be used for high end gear purchases.
