Photon Blast in C7, why not? Options

I know that you can get a Photon Blast in C7 if you feed your Mag once. I play with alot of Japanese and I see that they get a fully charged blast after a few rooms like anyone else. My question is why don't they ever use the PB? Is there some secret strategy to keeping it at 100% the entire map? Usually they end up unleashing the PB in the last room after all the monsters are dead and the timer has stopped.

Anyone have any insight?

Low level mags usually do not grant their owners any sort of bonus when they hit 100% (invincinility, S/D) and photon blasts take about 10 seconds to complete, making them a vitrual waste of time in Challenge mode.

Since the Japanese players are using the Photon blast after the completion of the challenge, i can only say this is somewhat like casting multiple GiFoie's after killing Dark Falz. ("Whee!")

As a robot, i usually use some non-essential items to feed my mag when running from room to room, IF there is NO ONE that may need them during that particular challenge. But that's just to break the tension of trying to run faster than the game's programming allows.
