allright, im trying to get DSL set up before i get my PC so i can delve directly into FFXI once i get the PC. i am planning on going through SBC-pacific bell for my DSL... my main question is do i need to have some kind of special jacks installed in my walls? next question being once the DSL in installed how much of a pain is it going to be to setup a router and dynamic IP for my PC (the DSL wont be connecting directly to the new PC)
any help, or if anyone knows where a DSL faq is, i'd apreciate it. --Woe |

the 2nd machine will be my new PC, the DSL will be connected to this PC or vise versa. thanks for the input guys, i was afraid the phone company needed to come out and start running wires and putting holes in my walls haha. anyway im going to call them today and more than likely get the ball rolling. thanks ![]() |
