Cypress Hill - Insane in the Membrane

Old school and funny, nuff' said. king.gif

The spanish one is funnier. beigelaugh.gif

I doubt anyone would know these guys. But if your in to hip hop, you might be familiar with the DJ. DJ Premier.

Gangstarr- Mass Appeal

Its a pretty old school song with a pretty hot beat. One of those songs you could chill with, while your in your car coming from a hard days work. Or use some good background music when your hanging out with friends at your house drinking remenicing(sp) over the past. I really love this group.

Band: Dream Theater
Song: The mirror

One part of it really fits my current situation:

Racing the clock
To please everyone
All but the one
That matters the most

Exams start next week for me, and I have a couple final papers to write.

Hmm...here's a song I like, it may not be as symbolic as any of your posts, but...to me it means a lot.

Feeder - Yesterday Went Too Soon

Sitting in today, watching traffic buzzing by, and faces nosing in
A victim of regret, it glitters and it fades away, like silver turning grey
Washed it all away, waiting for this dream to end, before it sucks me in

I'm climbing high, up above the streets and rows of neon lights
I'm holding out my hand but I'm alone
Wish I could show you
Wish you could see through my eyes
Tomorrow shines through
But I'm missing yesterday

Crashing on the ground, the silence seems to suffocate, and bury me again
Waiting for a taste, of happiness to lift me free, and carry me away

I'm climbing high, up above the streets and rows of neon lights
I know it's just a dream but I'm alive
Wish I could show you
Wish you could see through my eyes
Tomorrow shines through
But I'm missing yesterday
I'm still missing yesterday
I'll wait, I'll wait for you tonight.

Lost another week, feeling like a leper in, a world of vanity
It's killing me today, addiction pulls you down, you know
And she's the drug I need

Wish I could show you
Wish you could see through my eyes
Tomorrow shines through
But I'm missing yesterday
Wish I could show you
Wish you could see through my eyes
Tomorrow shines through
But I'm missing yesterday.

Listen to a whole lot of Incubus and a whole lot of Lost Prophets "The fake sound of progress" which is much better than the new one they have out.

Song: Just breathe
Band: Telepopmusik
Genre: Trance
Lyrics:

I brought you something close to me,
Left for something you see though your here.
You haunt my dreams
There's nothing to do but believe,
Just Believe.
Just Breathe.

Another day, just believe,
Another day, just breathe

I'm used to it by now.
Just breathe.
Lying in my bed,
Another day, staring at the ceiling.

---

This song is absolutely gorgeous ambient music, if you're in a mellow mood. I highly recommend you download, or buy (The CD is amazing <3)

Band: Nevermore
Song: Eolution 169
Lyrics:

Welcome to the pleasure dome,
now take a seat the crowd is watching you
Just rats in this experiment
Now learn the maze but don't tear yourself in two
Don't let it pull you down

And one by one we crawl, and two by two
Into the mouth of madness, we seek the perfect view
We reach another turn then fall out of time
In organized chaos
Evolution 169

You can touch but never taste the answers
Like the way that I want you
Today I killed my ego, if hell is real
Dear god please tie mynoose
And then he pulled me down

And one by one we crawl, and two by two
Into the mouth of madness we seek the perfect view
We reach another turn then fall out of time
In organized chaos
Evolution 169
And one by one we crawl, and two by two
Into the mouth of madness, we fly away

Don't set your mind to one side
Don't set your mind to one side

This song speaks for itself.

One part of it is particular uplifting.
V-I-C-T-ORY! 3-2-1-0 Never give up! OH YEAH!

The song is in japanese, but it's got a catchy beat to it.

Artist: Dream Theater
Song: Innocence Faded

Lyrics:

Animation
breathes a cloudless mind
Fascination
leaves the doubting blind
Until the circle breaks and wisdom lies ahead
the faithful live Awake
the rest remain misled

Some will transcend spinning years
One as if time disappears

Innocence faded
the mirror falls behind you
Trinity jaded
I break down walls to find you

Callow and vain
fixed like a fossil, shrouding pain
Passionless stage
Distant like brothers
Wearing apathetic displays
Sharing flesh like envy in cages
Condescending
Not intending to end

Some will transcend spinning years
One as if time disappears

Innocence faded
the mirror falls behind you
Trinity jaded
I break down walls to find you

Beginnings get complicated
the farther we progress
Opinions are calculated
Immune to openness

Beyond the circle's edge
We're driven by her blessings
Forever hesitating
Caught beneath the wheel

Innocence faded
the mirror falls behind you
Cynically jaded
The child will crawl to find you

Artist: Godflesh
Song: Frail

Owe yourself, but no one else
Behind your eyes, inside your head
Reach in, but don't reach out
I'll come and try, if only in vain
I've never watched in shame, I've never watched in vain
Don't ever change no, just stay the same...

A rare melodic tune from Godflesh, known for their heavy use of pounding drum sequencers and grinding guitar/bass detunings. Minimal repeated verses augment the bleak undertones of the progression.
