~indeed, ghost in the shell is a favorite anime of your's truly; ideas of technological & biological fusion are fascinations well presented in both manga & anime, & it looks like the second wave is on its way...i'm liking what i see lots; the upcoming tv series -alone- looks amazing visually.. Oo now hopefully, the series will continue where the first left off, & perhaps answers can now be clarified in further detail.. for those that have yet to see either trailers, links are below ~ enjoy.. at-emote1.gif

I recall someone posting something about the game awhile ago and it looked very promising. These new additions to the Ghost in the Shell franchise look promising, but Im alawys skeptical whenever they try to make things into TV series. Usually becuse they end up having good animation but crummy substance although the concept is good. For example Take Ninja scroll. Good movie. Horrible TV series. >_<

Yes, I really liked Ghost in the Shell. That would explain why your sporting a new avatar(Ghost in the Shell artwork, used in advertisement for the release of its playstation counter part).

Despite the name, the quality is what remains to be seen.

I too have been waiting for both of these and can't wait till they are released. From what I know the tv series is unrelated to the movie and is a restart of the story line from beginning and including more elements from the original manga

Knightsword is right, the GITS TV series (Stand Alone Complex) follows the mangas more directly, and isn't related to the original movie.

I like the manga storyline better, with the Fuchikomas anyways beigesmile.gif

Only saw the movie and never really saw the series of Ghost in the Shell. I do remember though back in the day when I rented the Ghost in the Shell game for ps1 although I don't remember it to much.

The PSX GITS game is off the snap. It's the only excellent anime-based game I've ever played (and one of the few good liscensed games period).
