I got mine today along with mario 64, and I been playing it while I sit at work. The stylus can be used for menus, game control, camera control, etc. Yet the also have classic controls for the games. The games look great and sound great too.

Excellent, Knightsword!
I am so very jealous...

Have you tried any SP games on it yet? If so, how do they look? Is / Are the screen(s) bigger than the SP model?

I am replying to myself! beigesmile.gif
I tried out a DS yesterday at a game store.
Damn you Nintendo!!! There goes my $150! I gotta get one of these things. It looks and sounds great. It wasn't nearly as weird as I thought it was going to be.
To my total happiness, you CAN change around the controls to only use the control pad and buttons if you don't want to use the stylus. Although, playing Metroid Prime Hunters with the stylus wasn't as hard as I imagined. It was very intuitive, I thought.

Mwaha finally got my DS the other day from being away for vacation for the past week. I must say the graphics for the Metroid Prime demo are pretty sweet at the cut scenes. Also Super Mario 64 DS just...pwns. The only thing I don't really like about it is that there is no analog which makes turning around fast kinda difficult. My friend and I were also checking out the distance of the pictochat and it actually went over 100 feet. Not quite sure what the real distance is but maybe I'll test it in school on Monday =p I also put Mario in my DS and downloaded it into the DS they had set up there in GameCrazy. It took probably about 30 seconds to download the data which isn't too bad. When you do get into multiplayer you pretty much just go around trying to get more stars than the other person. There are a total of 5 stars that pop up and once they are all gone you have to hit each other to get them out. The width of the DS is about the width of the GBA and it folds like the SP. It's a pretty fun system and it's going to be awesome if they make PSO for it. It gets a 10/10 in my book.

Yeah I went to a Best Buy today and played a bit of Mario. I LOVE that thing. king.gif It's a lot smaller than I thought it was gonna be, and the graphics and sound were awesome. The touch screen is addicting in itself...think I'mma cop one for sure now. shades.gif

Haha, it's funny how many people want one once they start playing one but they never wanted one about a month ago. =P

beigelaugh.gif That's exactly what happened to me. I had little to no interest in the DS, then my roommate got one, and I played it till the batteries ran out. "I must have this!"

I think i'll still hold out till there are different colored ones available, and some games I really want, such as Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Advance Wars, and Wario Ware.

A couple nights ago I heard a story on the news that local police are concerned about the chat feature on this thing because it would give pedophiles unfettered access to kids.

kind of silly, the chat signal is within a 30-100 foot range, so anyone using it is just within seeing distance.

*imagines some pervert sitting in the park with his DS waiting for kids to log into his pictochat session so he can draw pictures of penises at them*

Ok, I just heard some sad news.
Animal Crossing DS has been delayed until... SEPTEMBER 2005. ARG!!!!!
The January date has been pushed back nine freakin' months.
It's @#$%ing Animal Crossing for @#$%'s sake.
The ONLY thing I can think of that would cause such a delay is that they are going to implement full online capability.
Which, of course means, Welcome to Apocalypseville. AT-AC!!!
