Nintendo have announced they will be producing a special USB 2.0 compatible wireless network adapter to allow fans without a wireless router already installed in their home to connect their DS and Revolution consoles easily to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network.

A Nintendo representative has said: "Basically, instead of an accessory that will let you go non-wireless, this accessory will make your current internet connection compatible with Wi-Fi."

No information yet on when the adapters will hit the shops, but as the DS will have launched it's online service at the end of the year and the Revolution will be online from launch, we expect to hear more soon.

So basically this will allow you to add a wireless access point to your land based internet connection. Good news for DS owners who do not want to have to redo their entire connection setup and purchase wi-fi cards and routers etc.
