I was poking around gamefaqs today, and came across an interesting message

"Every time my friend (hes a ramar lvl 34) beats a sinow beat or a sinow gold he gets a trigrinder. Right now hes got about 45 of em."

Now this caugh my eye pretty quickly, since I have oh, 5 sranks, and none of them are grinded over 50, a trigrinder goldmine like this would be awesome. But the message is pretty vague, it lacks needed info like his friends section ID, and the difficulty. But I think this may be true, enemies on normal mode have a habit of always dropping the same items, like big monsters always dropping trimates, and the ep 2 mini bosses always dropping star atomizers. I'm gunna go through the mines on normal and hard with all of my characters now, and hopefully post some good results beigesmile.gif

Tests performed by running to the red room in mines 1 and killing 3 sinows

Yellowboze - Normal Mode - Brand, Nothing, Monomate
Yellowboze - Hard Mode - Meseta, Nothing, Lockgun

Pinkal - Normal Mode - Nothing, Meseta, Trap Vision
Pinkal - Hard Mode - Monofluid, Nothing, Cannon

Skyly - Normal Mode - Meseta, Nothing, Monofluid
Skyly - Hard Mode - Nothing, Antidote, Monofluid

Purplenum - Normal Mode - Foie lvl 3, Nothing, Nothing (got a digrinder in a box at least)
Purplenum - Hard Mode - Nothing, Meseta, Mesta

Remind me to never believe anything on gamefaqs again! ._.

no worries - it would seem that little has changed since the days of ver.1; wyld rumors tend to be the norm at gamefaqs, more-so for the popularity contest that many strive for.. -.-

Hehe, no worries Ether. I agree with you, it seemed like a good possibility. Especially when you consider the point you brought up about certain normal mode enemies dropping the same item nearly all the time. I can't remember the section ID, but one of my characters always got Sol Atomizers from So Deminians in normal Ruins. I guess it was just too good to be true with Trigrinders. ;)

What I did to fully grind my Sranks was to trade for grinders on a forum(ie. gfaqs trade forum for PSO). I obtained Srank pretty much the same day C7 and C9 released. So I was able to snatch up grinders really easily.

Grinders still trade now seeing how many people don't and never will try or get Srank. Most of the crap on Gfaqs is duped, so if you don't play with dupes how can you possible trade for grinders? High levels tech are a gold mine for low level forces trying to "beef up" there casting. I know at higher levels, finding high level techs is a sinch, so trading them for a few grinders a pop allowed me to make a killing with the grinders. Also mats tend to trade as well, especially luck(although luck mats are so damn hard to get, I wouldn't trade them for grinders. You might get lucky here and there with luck mats, but in general there apperance rate is very low).

If you wanna get grinders you trade for them. If high level techs are hard to come by, this is what I do to get grinders. Play fake in the yellow on ulti(or whatever stage you want, but its better exp). Drop all thoese damn rappies, cast Gifoie and leave the room. The rappies have a small loot table and thus drop many generic items, including grinders, mats, and their usual rare drop. Rappies drop fast to techs and there are soooo many per room that you get alot of items in very little time.

I have found a great way to get grinders is just to go though solo Heat Sword quest. Sometime the game is loaded with grinders...trigrinders too...sometimes not. One night I did many many Heat Sword runs and turned up like 50+ in griders in maybe an hour or so of having fun pwning vhard mode..heh.
