MGS4 Talk time, Spoilers after the first post. Options

for those going for that big boss emblem, might I recommend a lot of smoke and stun grenades. They make stuff easy, specially in act 5 which i'm pretty much flying through. Still solid snake mode, but I imagine the smoke stuff still does good things. ;)

Woot, finally made it to Act 3 on The Boss (Extreme) Mode. 0 Kills, 0 Continues, 0 Health Items used, 0 alerts.
But my Playtime is now at 3 hours. =( I'm doubtful I'll be able to beat the game in under 5. Managed to get the doll for Octopus too. :D Not sure I'm gonna be able to get Raging Ravens doll. But I'm ready to get it a shot. I'm sure the Motorcycle chase sequence is going to be the hardest thing for me there. Good thing for Auto Aim though. Oh yeah, It seems you can tranquilize gekkos in the legs and it will disable them. Takes about 6 or 7 shots though.

Can you use stun grenades on the bike chase part? If so... *points to headband* infinite ammo.

Finally beat the game on Expert. Solar Gun get, Stealth Camo get and Bandanna get! Flash Grenades are nice but I prefer using smoke for the Bike Chase. Also during the chase sequences you automatically get infinte ammo for whatever weapon your using. Auto Targeting helped a lot in getting me past it, but I definetly couldn't rely on it. I would switch between manual and Auto good thing all you have to do is press square to activate it. Its all about knowing which shots Auto Aim can help you make and which one you need to manual aim for target priority. Raging Raven was surprisingly easy. As was mantis and Wolf. However Wolfs fight has to be the 2nd hardest since trying to do it without triggering any alerts was tricky enough. I stuck mostly to the left and unloaded on her with the Grenade Launcher when she got close. I'm sure if I would have been using Rail gun it would have been done faster though. Octopus still seems to be the hardest because the bullets do so little to her and the time where you can hit her is limited/risky.

Also AC9Breaker PROtip for Vamp. Fill you're Pallette with Submachine guns. Go into the middle of the open area and lie down on the floor. I would lie belly up. Then just unload on Vamp untill you kill him. Make sure you're close to him before you kill him though so you can grab and inject him. Doing the fight this way is incredibly easy. You don't have to tranq him to get him to count as a non kill since you never really do kill him.

My Final completion time was 8 hours. I'm sure with the Solar gun it'll be much easier now, and I can do it faster. But I'll try getting the Big Boss emblem another time. For now I feel very satisfied with just the Solar gun Stealth Camo and Bandanna. Gotta beat Disgaea 2 now in preparation for part 3.
