Quoted from The Magic Box:

Sega announced that those who have purchased a Hunter License from Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 can continue to use the same license in Phantasy Star Online Episode III: CARD Revolution.

Also, seems like Sammy is making their own keyboard controller for GC.

This is probably the deciding factor in me picking up the game, as there is very little chance I'd pay an extra online fee for this. I'm still not really keen on the whole card game idea, but I know that if any version of PSO comes out I won't be able to stop myself from buying it. It's a sickness I tell you... beigeroll.gif

Hehe, I know what'cha mean Bryn. I feel the same way... I'm not too thrilled about card-battle games, but I'll at least check it out since it's PSO related. Not to mention I'll be curious if the old ep1&2 keyboards (including my adapters) will be compatible with ep3.

So yeah... it's nice to know we'll be able to get online without having to buy a new HL. Thanks for the info, Donkey. =)

This is good news, indeed. I had this disturbing feeling that Sega was going to charge an additional fee for playing both games online. Looks like I was (happily) wrong. ^_^ Like the both of you said, since it's PSO, I'll most likely pick this game up. I'm not a huge fan of card based games but I've played a few that have held my interest quite well. I'd like to play this before I purchase it, but most likely, I'll probably end up buying it for the Phantasy Star Online branding. ^.-

That's very good news indeed. As all of you have said before, I'll probably pick this one up, if only for the PSO label. The possibilities involving both games are endles here. But knowing ST, they probably won't see this and take full advantage of it.

I think some of these issues may be answered here, but the translation is so garbled the only thing I can really make out is that characters can reach level 300 (?), and that it coexists with and expands EP 1&2. beigeroll.gif

*ponders* 'tis a relief to know that there will not be an additional online fee for playing PsO episode III; if SEGA decides to do so, then that would be indicative of ~ greed.. >.<

Great news for sure. I will be willing to try it. You think EP1&2 character data will be able to be transfered over? I don't care about the items but would like my character's data and levels to be transfered.

Hmmm... a contest over who can can prepare the best rappy dish. The judges could be the top dogs on P2.

Given PSOs curve...

lvl 100 = 2 million
lvl 200 = 83 million (2 x 41)
lvl 300 = 3,400 million = (83 x 41)

I'm not sure exactly how lvl 300 is going to work, I mean will card battles give exp? How do you level when your strength is based off your deck? Or will characters be able to be converted through episode 3, then loaded with ep 2 with the level limit higher? Who knows!
