I was in a game last night, and 2 of my teammates including myself, FSOD simultaneously while the 4th just disconnects. And it was on an empty ship too. Anyone else have this happen? This is by far the strangest thing I've had happen to me on this game.

hrm... sounds fishy.
Me, 'Rinn, Z and assorted open game peoples were also on for at least two hours last night also. It was around 11 - 1 (or so) cst. We were on the official AT ship and block. Z was the only one who got a little glitched. She froze twice for about a minute or so, but she recovered and we continued without any problems.

What ship? What time? I don't know why I am asking because I can't do anything about it anyway... beigelaugh.gif

It was on Altair 9 at about 11 or so.

I've seen stuff like that happen every so often, DE. I never really paid much attention to it... just chalked it up to SonicTeam's top-notch network coding. beigeroll.gif

scu, Zorya wasn't having network issues last night. (She was on the same network as me) She was just occasionally distracted. beigesleep.gif

I've heard people were having problems across all the servers and that it started after the multi-weapon trick surfaced.

Now that you mention it, our FOne was doing the multi weapon thing.

Yea but I usually seen whole ships disconnecting unexpectidly. I think its just hiccups in the servers.

People are purposely doing FSOD according to POSWorld. Here's your complimentary grain of salt.

It probably is due to the multi-equip tricks. one guy doing it won't overload the servers with two much info, but lotsa people in a smaller area doing it would quite easily just tip the balances of server processing, and could D/C the whole block and possibly ship.

i had this happen twice to me yesterday, and a good warning for it is if the guy with multi-equip either starts occasionally flickerring (his char eitehr flickers away occaisonally) or his freaked out mutated weapon starts havign parts of it flicker.

Either way i'm still pissed off at sega for beign stupid. they removed the slight variant of this after complaints from on v1 ( the same method as is used now wasn't used, but a very similar thing involving the shops, not via the lady at the shops tho)from on V2, and then left it on on E1+2.......

Mulitple weapons? WTF? I miss alot of stuff by playing with only AT people. :D
Not to mention I have no idea what the Recobox leveling trick is...

and... 'Rinn... hehhe. I forgot that you guys have been sitting next to each other while online. "Distracted", you say? The teen-ager in me just laughs... the 30+ in me, well, laughs in just the same way. hehhee.

The recobox trick is one using a kings vulcan on a recobox that doesn't spit out recons, Do this in ult with nothing on that can raise atp and make sure the vulcans don't have any machine %s, so you can't damage the box but still get exp.
