wow that is a nice illustration!
... whataminute! Samus is a girl? WTF? ... j/k and I have this to look forward to? I can't even get past that ice boss. The one with the spikes on its back... where you can't damage it until it spits a snow ball at you. I have tried at least 10 times and I have died evey time. I loved this game until that point. HELP!!! -------------------- |

Wow, that is awesome ~ even if it is a tad morbid. >.>; Maybe the title should be something like.. "Yeah... but you should see the other guy."
Definitely an extremely high-quality piece of art. scu ~ I wish I could help you... but it's been so long since I played through Prime, that I can't remember a thing about how to defeat that particular foe. >.< |

If it is the ice ememies that shoot at you I remember that you have to hit it from behind to break off its shield. Those were a pain to kill. After the sheild is gone you can go to town on it hitting it anywhere. You have to do a charge shot to its back or something. Don't remember for sure. -------------------- Level

If you shoot a beam-type weapon at the adult Sheegoth it will give it energy for an annoying attack >.< Instead you have to try strafing around and shooting a missile in it's mouth. Side of the face worked better for me. You need to go in there with a lot of missiles too. While I'm not 100% certain on whether you can use beam type weapons on its mouth, I know that shooting that sucker in the back with the power beam is a bad idea

EXCELLENT TIPS! One and all!!!
I will try all of these tonight. I did notice that I could only hit that guy at certain times. I even experimented once by not shooting it at all just to see what would happen. I noticed that it never shot back at me! But, then I went nutz and started blasting away in vain and it quickly killed me. This is deffinately one of those "I threw the controller at the TV which caused hhe whole unit to come crashing thru the floor, destryoing the TV, the GameCube, the hardwood floor, the plumbing and the foundation of the house. ---- sorry if I highjacked this original thread for my own dilema. This picture does kick some major ass. Did you notice that her arm is severed? -------------------- |

Nice stuff. It's too bad it looks like someone dropped their hand control right when Samus was stafing out of the way of a blast. Continue anyone?

That's a beautiful picture, and I like the morbidity. It's an interesting look at the darker side of the games we're familiar with. I think it also adds depth to the storyline. We tend to skip over the melancholy aftermath of the characters we encounter, primarily concentrating on the gameplay and battles. But it's interesting to think of what possible stories can come from that. Thank God for fan fics :D
-------------------- "So this Zealot comes to my door, all glazed eyes and clean reproductive organs, asking me if I ever think about God. So I tell him I killed God. I tracked God down like a rabid dog, hacked off his legs with a hedge trimmer, raped him with a corncob and boiled off his corpse in an acid bath. So he pulls an alternating-current taser on me and tells me that only the Official Serbian Church of Tesla can save my polyphase intrinsic electric field, known to non-engineers as 'the soul.' So I hit him. What would you do?" -- Warren Ellis, Transmetropolitan

Sword of Fire, unless you have a lot to say, please don't bump 3 month old topics just to say "it's awesome".
That is known as SPAM, and is not encouraged here. also you gotta resize that sig down a bit. ATHQ has never put limitations on the size of someone's sig image, but you have to use common sense. Take a look at what dimensions everyone else uses and try to keep it somewhat reasonable. |

Damn.... has it really been THAT long? Anyhoo SoF, there's no "Purgatory" section like there is over at Brinstar.

To get technical it has only been 2 months since this topic was posted. Whatever the case, it's pointless to pull it from the depths just to get a +1 post count. I don't think anyone objects to old topics being revived as long as some actual discussion or new information is added.
I did some research on this comment, and for those wondering, this other site has a spam forum known as "Purgatory". |
