I say we all play Diablo 2. *uses Peter Griffin's classic persuasion technique* Come on, come ooon! A lot of us can't play FFXI and Monster Hunter for a variety of reasons: no PS2, a shitty computer, the monthly fee, etc. My solution is to play Diablo 2. There's no monthly fee, it's cheap and it runs on your PC -- and it doesn't require high specs.
So, let's all jump aboard onto this wonderful game which enables a level 99 to group with a level 1 character and enjoy our time together. Who's with me? :D -------------------- "So this Zealot comes to my door, all glazed eyes and clean reproductive organs, asking me if I ever think about God. So I tell him I killed God. I tracked God down like a rabid dog, hacked off his legs with a hedge trimmer, raped him with a corncob and boiled off his corpse in an acid bath. So he pulls an alternating-current taser on me and tells me that only the Official Serbian Church of Tesla can save my polyphase intrinsic electric field, known to non-engineers as 'the soul.' So I hit him. What would you do?" -- Warren Ellis, Transmetropolitan

I'm gonna pick it up today At least, I think I am.
Juggling around 3 games is gonna be hard ;x Especially since I want to get back into raiding on EQ and we have the events forum here now. But if there's no group level restriction it won't bug me too much PS- Retehi: stfu and twitch me |

Yep, it does. I recommend that you guys get the Battle Chest, since it comes with the expansion. With the expansion, you unlock stage 5 and two classes -- the assassin and the druid. -------------------- "So this Zealot comes to my door, all glazed eyes and clean reproductive organs, asking me if I ever think about God. wow! fun!
I have a Diablo type game for my GC and I loved it! I would totally be into this... especially if both platforms can hook up together. Nice of Blizzard to do that. -------------------- |

System requirements for Diablo II
Minimum Single Player Windows Requirements: Pentium 233 or equivalent processor Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0 SP5, or 2000 32 MB RAM 4x CD-ROM drive DirectX-compatible video card Multiplayer Windows Requirements and Options: 64 MB RAM Single Player MAC System Requirements: G3 processor:OS 8.1 or higher 64 MB of physical RAM plus Virtual Memory 1.5 GB available hard drive space 4X CD-ROM drive Video support for 256 color display at 800 X 600 resolution (Optional 800 X 6000 resolution mode not recommended for systems near minimum specifications for RAM or processor speed. Open Battle.net game Creators and TCP/IP game Hosts: 128MB RAM recommended (256MB RAM in games with over 4 players) 950 MB available hard drive space 28.8 Kbps or faster modem Up to 8 Players over TCP/IP Network or Battle.net® (Requires low-latency Internet connection with support for 32-bit applications) Multiplayer MAC System Requirements and Options: Up to 8 players: Over TCP/IP Network or Battle.net. (Battle.net requires a low--latency 28.8 Kbps internet connection) Multiplayer games played over a LAN require TCP/IP network. Wow those are really low for system reqs but that would suck if people actually used a 28.8k modem. It would be like getting on and playing a quick game of lag fest =X I may have to look at this some more and Im pretty sure my friend already has it so maybe I'll jump on just to smash some badies with everyone. |

I've had this game for like 4 years. Lost my serial number though, and I don't have the expansion.
You can have 8-man teams, and as team members join the game, the monsters get stronger, yet dole out more EXP. The community of this game wasn't as great as PSO was however. Still was a fun game though. Never did take out Diablo though. -------------------- "Computers are incredibly fast, accurate and stupid. Human beings are incredibly slow, inaccurate and brilliant. I have D2 and expansion, actually currently installed on my computer. It's one of those games I always go back to playing every 6 months or so, so I never uninstall it.
I hate the online D2 community though, everyone is assholes. It's great fun when you play multiplayer with your friends, though. -------------------- |

Yeah, Blizzard usually purges inactive accounts after 90 days.

As I'm installing this, the all-important question occurs to me...
Which server to go to..? Usually when I play Blizzard games I go on the US East because 56k > me, but it really doesn't matter to me much. |
