Tekken's characters kinda suck compared to SF's though. I wish they would have dropped the rumored Darkstalkers bomb instead of this, to be honest.

I guess you can at least get a Zangief vs Kuma battle. And a Paul Phoenix vs. Guile hair showdown.

I am a bigger Tekken fan than Street Fighter even though comparatively Tekken tends to be quantity over quality. I tend to have more fun playing with Tekken characters because of the wider range of fighter styles present. Anyways, I always wanted this cross over ever since Capcom vs SNK. So I am excited.

I totally agree Darkstalkers is long over due. There are gamers out there that can not honestly tell you who Morrigan is in MvC3 or TvC. I was just thinking the other day "where the hell is Darkstalkers?" I would be more excited for a Darkstalkers game thinking about it.

Eh. I was hoping for the Darkstalkers announcement as well.

Basically, when the rumors about these games (there's one for each company remember) surfaced it wasn't very believable. What ruined that was EVO. The producer of Street Fighter and the producer of Tekken get on stage together, yeah, quite the give away.

Anyway, I'm not horribly excited for either game, but both games aren't expected to be released until 2012 anyway. Though I'd be kidding myself to say I wasn't buying at least one regardless. We'll see how it goes.

this game has the potential to be awesome. i always like the visual style of tekken chars. i wonder if you will be able to chose gameplay styles like in fighters megamix.

Alisha I think what they are doing is sort of like they did with Capcom vs SNK and SNK vs Capcom. The former was more like Street Fighter, while the latter was more like a King of Fighters game with four attack buttons instead of six. So we going to get a game with Tekken characters translated into SF4, and another game with Street Fighter characters translated into Tekken. Not sure I would want to play the latter because Capcom sort of did that with the EX series.

its a shame they are limiting it to street fighter though. a game like this would be a good fit for more rival schools chars.

I agree here. This game would be MUCH more appealing if it were Capcom X Namco. Throw in wild Namco shit like Pac Man, Klonoa, Xenosaga, Tales, Soul Calibur, Time Crisis, etc. And of course Capcom's huge stable of characters, now THAT is a game that I can get excited about.

I guess I'm one of the few people that actually liked the EX series. Skullomania and Garuda 4 lyfe.

Also I think Tekken has some pretty cool characters. Like King, Jack, Yoshimitsu,Jin, Kazuma, Hwoarang, Law, Lee, Nina,

Shin Akuma X devil Kazuya seems inevitable. i wonder if they will include more SF3 chars. it seems like the SF3 chars would blend better with tekken. mainly due to the fact that with the exception of returning characters like ryu and ken many chars in SF3 lacked screen traveling projectiles. this game totally needs Q lol.

fuck yeah Q for lyfe. I agree with you on that I think the Third Strike chars would work better with this game. Yin and Yang, Mokoto, Elena, Hugo, Alex, and maybe even dudley.

Crappy box art Mega Man as a playable character?!?

Is this just another "fuck you" to Mega Man fans? CAPCOM am god of trolling.

As you can clearly see from my reaction to this game's announcement, I was not impressed. However, it's been almost 2 years, and with the game out tomorrow, I've done a complete 180. I couldn't be more hype for this game now. This is the most comprehensive of the game's trailers, the number of play modes and features in this game is ridiculous.

Also the roster is really impressive. Before DLC, it caps out at 38. There will be 12 DLC characters, boo to that, but hey it's expected nowadays.

I've also seen PLENTY of gameplay footage from the game, and it only adds to the hype. I'll have both versions of the game, as has become new Capcom fighting game tradition. Yeah, HYPE.

I love the roster too, nice variety mix of cult favorites and populars. Next week for me though I will be looking into this.
