QUOTE So, today I am announcing the following changes to Xbox One and how you can play, share, lend, and resell your games exactly as you do today on Xbox 360. Here is what that means:

Are you serious, Wendy?
Bold move by MS. Obviously the backlash after Mattrick's comments got even worse, but I wonder if this was a decision made just over the weekend or something they had been cooking since the original Xbone reveal? If that's the case then WHY did they let E3 roll on without announcing this, and why did they let Mattrick, Major Nelson, and the other MS goons continue digging their PR hole deeper and deeper? I honestly thought that in light of Sony's stance with the PS4 on DRM/used games, MS would eventually be forced to change. However, I thought they would have at least "Tested the waters" with the XBone to see if people would actually buy into the bullshit... if it worked they'd stick with it, if not then they'd retool their DRM and drop it. But nope, they went full force and just cut their losses early... I can only shudder to think at the loss they're taking on R&D costs surrounding the development of this system. THIS. IS. WAR. Console warrrrr! -------------------- |

Good for gamers and consumers alike.
Now will they backtrack on not allowing Indie developers to self-publish? -------------------- |

One bad thing I'm realizing coming out of this, they've taken away the game "family sharing" funcitonality completely, and if you install a disc-based game you'll also always need that disc to play (like on the 360).
I wonder if the fast-swapping feature has been shitcanned completely, or if that will still be intact for digital download games. -------------------- |
