Well yesterday morning my computer died, it would power up but do nothing. After trying everything under the sun and talking to Crush last night, pretty much nailed the problem to the mother board. I ended up ordering a replacement of the same model, other wise it would be pretty much a full rebuild with new proc, ram, etc. and I dont have the money for that now. Thankfully my old mac still works so I can use that to surf the web, use messenger, etc. untill the new board arrives and hopefully it doesn't arrive d.o.a.

Buy a new computer. It's not worth fucking with that old shit if its dying like that. You are basically putting a feeding tube on a vegetable. Here's an good one i threw together for you, and its under $500:
SATA DVD-RW drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106100 Case+Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811138074 120 Gig SATA Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822136225 2 Gigs Corsair DDR2 ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820161063 EVGA Motherboard with Nvidia 7150 onboard graphics http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813188021 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz E4500 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115031 Vista Home Premium http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16832116202 Bottom line: $481.93, $509 shipped to Columbus via UPS 3 day. This is an extremely budget build, but if all you use the computer for is web access and porn its will own. The onboard graphics card can still handle shit like WoW and FFXI, but don't expect to play Crysis on this. All the parts are decent quality stuff too, not knockoff jip jap ching chong stuff. The only thing I would possibly change is the tower and power supply, because the included 430w is not sufficient if you were to add a dedicated video card later. -------------------- |
