Yup, it's almost here. In fact, the Wii Ware version comes out this monday! With the PS3 version on Thursday, and the 360 version out on the 1st of October. I'll be getting the Wii Ware version. It's going to be released first for one, and I want to use the Wiimote to replicate that oldschool Nintendo feel. WIN.
Oh... and this is the coolest thing EVER. Capcom's going to sell these to the public, and I'm SO gonna try and get one. This game is gonna be sick. -------------------- |

Totally getting my hands on this one when it comes to 360. Like many, I grew up with Mega Man, so it'll be nice to see this game going back to the series' roots.

OK, they don't hold any punches on this game. There is not a SINGLE bone to be thrown to you.
Totally classic Mega Man. Since there's no slide or charge shot, it pretty much feels like spritual successor to MM2. More impressions after I can finally beat a damn stage... -------------------- |

Woo I just beat hornet man, first guy to finally go down. This game really is tough as hell, I was playing megaman 2 last week and breezed through 5 or so robot masters, in this it's a struggle to even reach one, much less kill em. The enemy and level design is really clever though, I was somewhat afraid this was going to be quick rom-hack level quality game, which luckily it isn't.
There is no gamecube controller support though, which sucks. Holding the wii-mote sideways is killing me, hopefull they patch it, I don't feel like buying a classic controller for one game. |

Mirroring what you've both said, this game is hard as hell haha. I was worried too that I'd be able to breeze through on classic Mega Man skill alone, but Capcom said "haha F you!" I like it this way though, the game is truly a challenge. It's due to the level and enemy design as Ether said. It has that classic "I'm too stubborn to do another stage because I KNOW I can finish this one!" feel, and it's good to have that feeling back haha. I'll have more later, soon as I beat Magma Man. >_>

Thats weird that the GC controller doesn't work, because on the Wii Shop screen when you purchase it, it shows all 3, the GC, the Classic, and the Wiimote as controller options. -------------------- |

Spoilers: Boss weakness order - highlight at your own risk
Splash > Concrete > Galaxy > Jewel > Plug > Tornado > Magma > Hornet > Splash Hardest stages IMO are Jewel and Tornado, the rain section in Tornado is just brutal. If you do that stage towards the end you can rush jet over it, but it'll use your entire bar so you've only got one shot at the section after it. The Wily stages are fun, as long as you remember that you have all your weapons. Don't forget about concrete, which I did for a while. It's mandatory at several parts. Good game, but I kind of wish it was longer, or that the freakin DLC was included in the game to begin with. I wanna play as protoman dammit! |

Ok, made some good progress so far. Knocked out all the bosses except for Cement Man and Jewel Man.
My first boss win was against Hornet Man, and the battle was fucking BRUTAL. I wish I had recorded it, because it was like a masterful ballet of Mega-mannery. Hornet man's weapon is great because the bees will bring all the items back to you, so you don't need to take unnecessary risks to grab extra lives/e-tanks/bolts. After that I was able to take down Galaxy Man with ease, just using the mega buster. He's probably the easiest boss and his stage is a joke, so I'd say he's the first one you should tackle. His gravity bomb weapon is useful for asshole shielded enemies or guys with lots of hit points, too. Crushinator ProTips: Hornet Man rocks Splash Woman Plug Man owns Tornado Man Tornado Man's weapon removes the flames from the dragon sub-boss in Magma Man's stage. Now what i'm stuck at is those god damn elephants in Cement Man's stage. For the life of me I can't figure out how to pass the SECOND DAMN ONE. Its bullshit! -------------------- |

if you're looking for a good boss to start with, concrete man is a joke.
Bought the game earlier today, and loving the classic megaman feel! It's good to have the blue bomber back. ;) Onto the wily stages now! |
