Time to muster up our creativity and imagination here. What would you like to see in a new version on PSO? Iam not talking about another add on to basic PSO engine, but a brand spanking new online Phantasy Star.

It can be anything from stages, monsters, characters, storyline to dark falz in its underwear.

Well I'll post more later, but for now i'll just tell what I'd like to see from the technical end. Being that PSO is supposed to be simple, I try to keep that in mind, yet at the same time simplistic games also lack the replay value of something really deep. So how do you make something deep and simple?

First off I'd like to see more added to each class and their overall usefullness to a group being enhanced.

Like the Hunter being able to use special combat abilities, which can be assigned to the directional pad(its not like we use the damn thing). Also a nifty taunt feature so they can actually TANK enemies. It wouldn't be 100% effective, but usefull.

Defend button anyone? Sinow comes jumping at you...:::DEFEND::: Press the attack button and counter attack. Uses up some tp or some sort of bar to limit it from being cheasy.

Chaining techs? Mix in some elemental strategy and we got somethigng hot going on.

Status effect shots from rangers. Everyone and their momma knows that a Ranger without a Frozen Shooter just doesn't compare to a ranger with one. Maybe they could play more on the idea of rangers being more "status/support" based then being long range damage dealer. More status based weapons that are ranger only, and perhaps even an inherit ability to have status effects occur regardless of the weapon. We've already got hunters for primary damage.

A much more story oriented oneplayer mode.
Hidden quests that occur while you randomly play offline, snag cool rares in the process. Also makes offline more fun.
More TEAM BASED online challenges/puzzles/fighting when playing online. Stepping on switches can only go so far. Team up attacks anyone? We all know how awesome challenge mode is(that is when your in a sweet group)..well howabout having the need to rely on your teammate moreso for certain puzzles, just as you do it Cmode, yet managing it all to occur in a fast paced battle setting. I could give examples, but since Iam not getting paid to make a new PSO, I won't.

Howabout a Zelda style jump feature? Run off the ledge and jump.

Heh, i'll leave some room for everyone to give their ideas.
