Well school is winding down to a close and I've completed alot of projects in my classes. In fact, in my graphic arts class I have done everything I needed for the year so I get to do whatever the hell I want. So I decided to work on some Adobe Illustrator stuffs. A few days ago some girl saw me doing a nice sketch of a friend and asked me to do a portrait of her. Impressed with what I had done, I asked her if I could use her face again for my adobe project and she gladly agreed. I finally finished putting on some of the finishing touches yesterday. Hope you guys enjoy, and tell me what fallacies it may have if any, I always appriciate criticism weather it be bad or good.

Looks pretty good overall...just a few things, the forehead seperation into the hair is a little too abrupt if you will and the position of the hand near her face is a little off as well, just a few things i noticed.

Yes! Another Illustrator user!
Nice job buddy. I suggest you keep working on Illustrator. It's a great tool. I like it way more than Photoshop. -------------------- |

That's great work Breaker.
As for criticism, the only part I would work on more would be the eyes. The angle of the irises is great, and a tough thing to perfect, but the eyelashes could be softer. One thing to keep in mind when rendering the female face is to use as few lines as possible to maintain the illiusion of delicacy. Great style though, let's see some more work! |

I never understood that. What benefits does running photoshop on a mac offer over running it on a pc? Photoshop seems to run great on my pc. For the record I am neither a dedicated pc or a mac guy, I use whatever I need to, and since I like pc games, I naturally gravitate towards pc's. I would like to own a mac someday however. |

Now that I think of it, the lady that head the graphics department at my former college used a mac with like a 20 something inch screen in her office. I also would like to know why it's better, but it does seem that macs are preferred for anything dealing with graphics.

Well according to mac guru, scu, macs were the preferred format for graphics because, "all the graphic software companies did half assed ports of their PC software... it's not the case anymore though... "
And there you have it! Thanks scu! Almost made me hook up my old mac. -------------------- |

So basically it doesn't matter what OS you use, it's all good?
How about if I skin XP to look like a mac? Is that cool? |

I've done it more than once. Windows is cool and all, but I tend to like the apple and mac designs better. -------------------- PSO BB:PSO BB Chars: Fred lv77 HUnewearl Aquarius-X lv10 RAmarl Watch DScc in action at DScc Vision Az |
