Hey everyone, I'm glad to see the site is still going! Thanks Dive for keeping the gears moving after all these years! Long time no see.

I'm wondering who is still around to even see this, and how you all are doing! Online life has really moved on from message boards and stuff like this but I still have great memories of the community we had here and the gaming we did.

As for me now, I'm old, married, a dad, and bald! Time has ravaged my once youthful looks. Still kicking in Utah though and have managed to survive the pandemic largely unscathed. I hope the same goes for everyone else here. I've been working in the corporate IT/support world as a middle management drone for the better part of the past decade and recently changed jobs to a new startup company so I'm excited to begin the next step in my career.

Gaming-wise, being a "responsible" adult has kept me from playing as much as I used to, but I still try and keep up with things and play as much as I can. Most recently I've been heavily into Elden Ring, just finished it for the first time a couple of days ago.

As far as online games go I've been getting back into Monster Hunter Rise to prep for the expansion next month. Playing on both Switch and PC so i'll probably have to double dip on the expansion. I also play Magic the Gathering: Arena pretty regularly too.

I'm still in touch with some of the AT crew, Donkeybeatz, Tanshin, AC9Breaker, Vitamin D, Oddies, Kazicht, and Wiryu through Discord. If any of you guys are on there we should get more of the team back together!

Sometimes FFXI and the internet of old pops into my mind and I'll remember the linkshell and see if the page is still up. Gotta hand it to Dive for keeping this going -- I would have given up after all that bot spam a year or two ago.

I recently went through a save game preservation kick and managed to extract my Dreamcast PSO v2 save, which let me move it to a retro handheld and play my 20+ year old character online again. It's somewhat weird to think about.
I tried to recover Gabriell on FFXI after finally remembering my PlayOnline account, but that character was long gone and Square couldn't help. Oh well.

I play WoW and FF14 when new expansions come out, but my career has kept me pretty busy.

I sometimes think about all the online friends I met from the splinters of PSOW and think it would be interesting to reconnect with some, but figure most of those memories are best kept in the past.
