This did look pretty cool.
Reminded me a little bit of The Crow. Although, I am a bit sick of everyone being beautiful. Now, I know it's a movie and we go there to see things other than the ugly people, but still... As for cool, 28 Days Later. Now that was a good movie. So good in fact that we are going to see it again this weekend. -------------------- |

I'm beyond pissed off at this movie for several reasons. Reasons that date back to 1999 to be exact, but I'm over it. Maybe. Anyway I hope it bombs.
Told you I wasn't over it. -Khao -------------------- Sometimes when I talk to people, I like to imagine a giant "EDIT" button over their head. Not that it matters, I always reach for "DELETE".

I was just gonna make a topic about this movie. Gotta love the ol' Search feature. ;p Anyhow, I checked out the trailer and I instantly fell in love. I'm a big fan of old world monsters such as vampires and werewolves. I like that they call the weres Lycans (short for Lycanthropes). As DivA pointed out, It'll be interesting to see how both sides are portrayed. I'll expect the worst, but I'll go see the movie regardless. Btw, the movie poster for this flick kicks ass. Also, is it just me or is there a Half-Life mod on the main site for this movie as well. O_o;;

~anyone else decide to see this over the weekend besides your's truly? i ventured to see the matinee showing saturday afternoon ($7.00 for matinee = spooky.. O.o), definitely an interesting addition to the great lore-pool regarding vampires & werwolves...granted, my lore-interest is directed more to vampires so i felt affinity to their alluring culture.. =. the film was ok if one sees the film with no prior knowing of either faction...however, for the vampire scholastic types ~ there are many elements that were not consistent throughout the film - most unfortunate; also, too much guns took lots away from the mystical.. =/
though, keep an eye out for Victor ~ his character was interesting (as well as his power..), i just wish his voice would have been deeper for a more commanding stance as elder.. ~before i forget, Craven is a punk.. ;p |

Yeah, I saw this with Zorya & Co. on Friday night. I'm not really deep into mythology, so nothing seemed terribly out of place to me. I'm not sure why, but my expectations for this movie were exremely high. So, even though it was a really good flick, I still felt a little let down after it was all said and done. The characters were cool... I liked Lucien and Selene. Michael seemed... just kinda "there", though. =/ Along for the ride, so to speak.
All in all, it's worth a look. I'm glad I went to see it. =) And, yes... Craven is a putz. ^.~ |
