It gets uploaded on the 16th!!! And it seems only stage 1 will be available at that time. I know some of you are still stuck on FFXI but at least come back for this. Even if its just one stage. And in case some of you don't post at The Arcade, theres a stage 1 beta map in the PSO forum from Ah-King himself. --d-_-b -------------------- |

16th! WOO HOO!
Great news! --- But wait! Before we jump right in and go check out the map... wouldn't it be cool if we DIDN'T LOOK AT THE MAP BEFORE WE EVEN TRIED THE NEW CMODE? :D Think of it... the confusion! the mystery! the craziness! the extreeeeem fun of a totally new cmode to play! -------------------- |

ST's playing the "piece by piece" game again I see. But I suppose it's better than nothing.

~but that's such an archaic idea, a relic of what gamers used to thrive on; but then, i'm a serious advocate for it.. *sigh* of course this happens right before i leave on my expedition.. =/ well, between Dec 17th to Jan 21st ~ i'll be visiting my family back east for the holidays, so the chances for me playing online shall be next to none.. -.- ... try not to have too much fun while i'm away.. ;p |

I'm definetly not looking at the map for this one...but give me a break ONE GODDAMN STAGE?!?
So are they going to pawn this shit out to us for the next 9 months? PSO has been out for well over a year now, and EP2 challenge stages was one of the biggest draws of the game, but they give us ONE DAMN STAGE? Sonic Team, get a damn clue! -------------------- |

Bah, maps already?
This 1 stage shit is ridiculious. I would of jumped on the band wagon for 2 stages, but not 1. The first stages are always the easiest anyway, but without a map it will be more of a challenge. I'm gonna wait intill more stages come out, either that or I get hella bored and just join up with everyone for some 1 stage cmode fun....weeeee *cough*. |

I remember the very first few C-Mode games I played back at the launch of v2. We had no maps and learned them through trial and error, usually more error
I remember a certain Stage 3 where Crush and IVI split off to take care of the switches, while me and someone whom I don't recall(Lux maybe?) waited near the door. We all had no Dolls remaining and under 10 HP each. We had no idea which floor switches were right and everytime an exploding one was tripped and the warning alarm sounded, you could just feel everyone's tension. great times |

I may have to come back for a while for EP II C-Mode. It's something new and considering I haven't done EP-1 C-mode at all on this version, it will be interesting.

This is great stuff. What me and many friends I know have been waiting for. Too bad they are playing the release it piece by piece thing again. ;p
I do not think it will be terribly difficult, but you will really have to know your elemental weaknesses for enemies if you are playing FOnl. It seems that the enemies will be fixed as well which really messes up the idea of Genkai. I will be playing it tomorrow night. It will be great~ -------------------- Level

I'll check it out in a year when all the stages are up, 1 is just pathetically insulting when the game is over a year old

So the update will be tonight (i.e. tuesday morning) at about 2 AM PST, as usual, right?
UPDATE: So I hooked up with Sheik, DJ Donkey, and Forever Zero to try this puppy out. My god, this is the real deal...7 stages of VR Temple, with Barba Ray at the end. One scape doll, starting level is 5. It took us nearly an hour to get to the end, and then just as we felt victory in our grasp, the giant crawdad zapped us with his dick-laser. Everyone get online tomorrow and try and conquer this thing! -------------------- |

Like I said, It's INSANE!! Even with fixed enemies!
It might have FELT EASY but we were using up mates like nothing. I did like 2 runs before I met up with Crush, Forever Zero, and Sheik. In those 2 runs: Total suckage. But we got the map down the second time through and we knew the locations of 2 of the scape dolls [If theres anymore, I don't know] Most of the item boxes were like way outta of the way. Theres 3 types of monsters you have to fight [and the %'s on the weapons weren't that great] And it seems like theres rare enemies in every game. Theres tons & TONS of traps around every corner. Puzzles that require you to run all around the map [like C4 but worse]. On top of all that: 7 freakin' areas to clear! INSANE! And no, I didn't use the maps. Everything were based on trial and error =\ --d-_-b -------------------- |

Hey, here's an idea for his damn lasers. I remeber back in the days when MOMO had balls and would die like a bitch with you when fighting del rol, the key to having him live was to stand in front of him. I think the Highest hp characters should act as a shield, while the low hp characters(ie. force) stand directly behind them. Hopefully lag doesn't screw this strategy up. |

That tricked works for the balls that he shoots out his side, but the laser seems to cut a swath through all players in its way. -------------------- |

Level 5! oh crap... I can't imagine my FOmar doing battle with the Barba Ray using only that stupid wand/rod/staff/whatever and a fire ball. Crap... I guess they are really going to force (pun!) me to get better at my 'support' abilities.
Too bad it's Temple also. I am not that fond of that area. Tight corners and all. -------------------- |

My bad crush, I thought the dick-lasers you were refering to was from his side.
I just completed EP2 C1 today(Yes, I renewed my HL and will be on everynight). The stage wasn't that hard for our group. We only had 3 people, but one of the hucaseals knew what "he" was doing. We totally owned barba ray. His piercing lasers missed us I think, and we gave our HP mats to the lowest hp character. Actually I think I got pegged by the laser. I had 98HP at the time with my HUmar and i might of dropped to about 40ish or 30ish hp. If the FO has over 60 HP they should be able to live. I could see how a Fo could be owned royally. We had a large amount of enemy spawns in our go, so even though we started at level 5 we were level 9 at barba(we skipped alot of uneeded enemy spawns too). We completed the stage with a hour and change to spare. As long as the FO has one scape doll to spare, barba shouldn't be a problem. Of course since this is our first times fighting barba, he's gonna give us trouble on the first go. As time passes Barba will soon know his role. The Hucaseal in our group knew the map(cause he probably had a map), and his fastest time was like 42 minutes or something. My guess is that I have room for ALOT of improvement. |
