We've discussed it in the skype channel, but nothing posted on the site about it.
Some pretty big news about PSO2 has been dropping, first and foremost, its coming out on PS VITA as well as PC, and Sega is "trying" to ensure that PC and Vita will be cross-compatible. Awesome! The PSV release won't be out till 2012, though. They've also confirmed the game will be FREE to play. You can download the PC client for free (and to the Vita a well?), and we can most assuredly assume there will be premium upgrades for costumes and weapons and crap, par for the course with F2P games nowadays. Sega also announced that there will be a version of PSO2 for iOS and Android. QUOTE according to Andriasang, Sega promised "social game elements," and simpler controls and character creation. Data will be shared between the phone and PC/Vita versions, but crossplay will not be possible. This version is due winter 2012, between the summer PC release and the 2013 Vita release. I wonder if the "Shared Data" is specifically your character, or if its like a side-game with Mag Raising or some shit? And now Most importantly, they're releasing a BETA, first they're releasing a version of the character creator on April 5th (boob sliders!) Later that month they'll hold a private beta for 100,000 invitees. I don't know how to register yet, but I'm sure Donkey can figure it out. http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/26/try-phan...eation-april-5/ http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/26/phantasy...g-to-smartphon/ http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/12/vita-pha...begins-in-2013/ http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/09/phantasy...h-pc-crossplay/ -------------------- |

YEAH, LETS DO THIS.
Funny that you posted that video today, they are actually shutting down the servers for EQOA at this very moment: http://www.anjelsyndicate.org/2012/03/03/e...-on-march-29th/ Yeah, I'm shocked that shit was still going too! I wonder what the server population was in these last few years... -------------------- |

I dunno I figure there would be plenty of neckbeards and dependapotomuses still playing that. The dreggs of internet society.
Anyway, I'm excited for this. It's making my investment on a serious gaming laptop a much more worthwhile venture. -------------------- "Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. For those interested in signing up for the beta, check out this guide:
http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showpost.p...p;postcount=166 You're not guaranteed to get in but it wouldn't hurt to try. It's a fairly simple process as it only requires your email and other basic info. Not like before where you had to enter your name and stuff like that in Japanese. -------------------- |

Hey guys, they just released the benchmarking/character creator tool for download.
Download it here: http://pso2.jp/benchmark/download/ (blue button at the bottom of the page) The character creator is pretty damn robust so it's definitely worth a look. Parts for casts are kind of lacking still but everything else can be fine tweaked down to the muscle definition of your character. Boob slider is still in. -------------------- |

After a couple hours messing around, I came up with this.
Only nitpicks I have are that you can't change the clothing colors as freely as robo parts, and the fact there's no option to have no hair at all. No love for us bald guys, I swear! -------------------- "Computers are incredibly fast, accurate and stupid. Human beings are incredibly slow, inaccurate and brilliant. Took me a few hours to get it tweaked perfectly, but I was able to make my character:
