Server maintenance uploaded a downloadable quest to the US servers, and also added GI banners to the lobbies. I sure hope that JP players (and JP HL users) cannot see these or do the quest, because that would lame DX
**Quest Spoiler**
The US only quest is strange. The map is messed up (grid form, in the shape of a connected G and I) and it's a 2 vs 1. FOmar/RAcaseal vs You. The FOmar uses a lot of Tech Halfguard items, and the RAcaseal has no stratagy, as far as I can tell. I saw her summon a Morfos, and a Bartle, a freind saw a Crimson Assassin. They play Dice+1's, so assists of your own are overwritten. Take advantage of thier Dice bonus cards, and thier Immortality.
You then get the Game Informer Card, neat prize that doesnt do much other than sit on your trophy shelf:

Unfortunately (or fortunately), JP users can access the Game Informer download quest. Can't say that I'm surprised.

Yeah I'm on U.S Version, the JP quests are BS ;o I can't believe the monsters they summon.

so, what's up with the magazines?
are they weapons like in ep2? What were they... sabres or something...
or can you simply whip out a magazine in mid battle and take a breather while you read about the new Pokemon game?

Yes there are weapons. Cane type. Some have different abilities and such. Some require like 8 turns to use a special ability. Not really useful on its own.

I think one of the magazines raises your ATK dice by 1 for a 1 cost. THAT I do want. 
Also want to know how Bri was able to do those quests on the US version. >_<

There's only 1 magazine that I liked, which has the Time Sacrifice HP or whatever it's called. As for playing the quest on U.S you need the USB mem card so u can dl the jp quests off the net, and convert them to U.S

Actually, to heck with this. US players should *not* have to buy a USB memory card just to play all of the download quests. This Game Informer situation just finally pushed the line too far for me, not to mention another JP-only quest has been announced for the Dremaga magazine card.
I'm sick of this. Leaving for FFXI ASAP, though at least the community here and on TA was great. That may be the only part that I will truly miss about this game but the poor service from ST all of these years for US players has finally pushed me too far.
That and I can get the complete FFXI package (game + HDD + ethernet adapter) for $65. >_>

If you're gonna quit because of their bad service, you shoulda done that a long time ago.
I got screwed over plenty of times:
The v1.0 situation.
Having to buy the US version so I can play with you guys.
Getting charged twice for HL multiple times.
Importing PSO Ep.III only to find out it was all in Japanese.
Getting banned for bringing an S-Rank online.
Got corrupted (Only once, which is entirely my fault really)
Then you have the double save situation, hacking, illegal items, FSOD, and whatnot.
Even after all that, you don't see me complaining. Even if I couldn't download those quests, those magazines aren't that great anyway. I'd be happy with the Cipher & Richie cards =)
To me, the good things outweigh the bad.
But if FFXI is your thing, then you go ahead and get your game on.
And $65 for the whole package? I'd play FFXI too.

yeah, it does kinda suck, but what about poor Europe and Australia? Hell, I don't think they have even gotten the game released yet.
Since the game orignates in Japan, it does make sense that they would get everything first.
Although, it would be nice if Sega Team had a few workers in the States to do some translating work simultaniously.
btw - Castoth, the complete FFXI package for $65? Holy great deal, batman! That's a huge savings!!

Yeah, I know someone that works at a Gamestop that can get FFXI + the HDD for $65. He also has an extra ethernet adapter and USB keyboard (I think) laying around so those would be free as well. It is a pretty great deal. 
Well, after thinking about it some more, realized that the JP-only quests were just one factor in me wanting to leave. The FFXI deal has already been mentioned as a reason but another more compelling one is that the US ships seem to be turning into ghost ships lately. I actually went online on Thursday and there was *no one* in the lobbies of Antares 8 and Deneb 9. Vega is basically Hayato land and other jackasses' playground so I avoid going there at all cost. This is one game where playing by yourself constantly just grows incredibly boring. Heck, the times I've been online lately I've barely seen anyone on Antares 5 or other stomping grounds lately either.

ARGH, why does it feel like I am going to stay on PSO regardless of what I've said so far? Only thing that might keep me around is the community still. Bah, how come there still have to at least be a few cool players online still. >_<

Good point. Speaking of which, able to come online again yet?
I'm trying to work out coming online in the evenings/early late night hours now since my class schedule has drastically changed everything.

Bah, I'm only offline CLevel 52 at the moment. Still, we should have similar decks in terms of power now and would be interesting to clash. 
I would've mailed you Skorp but figured you were angry at me and Kyori still from earlier...
