Well yesterday morning my computer died, it would power up but do nothing. After trying everything under the sun and talking to Crush last night, pretty much nailed the problem to the mother board. I ended up ordering a replacement of the same model, other wise it would be pretty much a full rebuild with new proc, ram, etc. and I dont have the money for that now. Thankfully my old mac still works so I can use that to surf the web, use messenger, etc. untill the new board arrives and hopefully it doesn't arrive d.o.a.

What brand of motherboard did you order to replace it? Make sure you get one with like a 2 or 3 year warranty. Also it might be prudent to get a new PSU as well, even if the old one is still functioning, blown/damaged capacitors in it may have killed your old motherboard. And get a new surge protector too, if yours is more than a year old it might be risky to use, too. -------------------- |
