one time episode live blog!

Posted by: Crushinator Dec 9 2008, 04:45 PM

Yeah we can set up an 800 number and take live calls! It'll be like Phil Donahue! buttrock.gif

Posted by: Wiryu Dec 9 2008, 06:14 PM

it'd be the most embarrassing segment ever. D:

This podcast should be a year in review. We talk what we think is the game of the year and we also talk about some of the stuff we've done as at-emote1.gif this past year.

Posted by: donkeybeatz Dec 11 2008, 08:27 PM

Maybe we each pick our game of the year as well as a runner up. Then maybe we can decide on things as a group.

Posted by: AC9breaker Dec 11 2008, 08:57 PM

I was thinking we'd all choose our own personal game of the year since we all haven't played the same games.

Posted by: Crushinator Dec 11 2008, 10:23 PM

Yeah i think each person should do their top 5 games of the year.

Maybe also do some shit like "sleeper hit of the year" or whatever, and best game for each system.

Princess Debut is DS Game of the Year

We need to set a date for this. Suggestions?

Posted by: AC9breaker Dec 15 2008, 12:36 AM

Tomorrow is good for me.

Posted by: Wiryu Dec 15 2008, 03:21 AM

tomorrow is awful for me. what about wednesday?

Posted by: Crushinator Dec 15 2008, 12:10 PM

I think this coming sunday would be best.

Posted by: Vitamin D Dec 15 2008, 06:31 PM

Well the usual suspects are cool with me. Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday that is. Perhaps Tuesday if it works better for everyone else, I can get on. Whatever the case, I'm down for the cause. guitarist.gif

Posted by: AC9breaker Dec 16 2008, 08:34 AM

So I guess we're doing this sunday night then. I don't get out of work until Midnight-ish.

Posted by: AC9breaker Dec 21 2008, 03:10 PM

We're doing this tonight right?

Posted by: donkeybeatz Dec 21 2008, 03:19 PM

Yes sir

Posted by: Wiryu Dec 22 2008, 01:22 AM

i might be banned.

EDIT: I'm not. :D

Posted by: donkeybeatz Dec 24 2008, 07:40 PM

I think we need to do a do-over for this one. I believe its not up to our standards. But if we can't, I will go ahead and upload what we got.

Posted by: Vitamin D Dec 24 2008, 09:48 PM

Well considering the issues I was having with my mic, I wouldn't mind a re-roll. Majority rules though, so I'll wait for everyone to weigh in haha.

Posted by: Wiryu Dec 24 2008, 10:55 PM

Let's do that, haha

Posted by: Crushinator Dec 25 2008, 02:32 PM

I'm fine with a do-over. beigelaugh.gif

Posted by: tanshin Dec 25 2008, 09:32 PM

What was wrong with it?

Posted by: Wiryu Dec 25 2008, 10:28 PM

a lot of fuck ups and a consistent stream of laughing. I think that's about it?

Posted by: donkeybeatz Dec 27 2008, 01:23 PM

We're going to try to do this tomorrow. I suggest D to get a new mic unless its already new (?) beigelaugh.gif

Some things to keep in mind:

Anything else, you guys can bring up during the podcast.

Posted by: donkeybeatz Jan 5 2009, 12:58 PM

We're recording tonight.
WIRYU, do not let us down.

Posted by: Retehi Jan 6 2009, 12:33 AM

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Posted by: Wiryu Jan 6 2009, 02:29 AM

I was on, where were you dudes? D: some of you anyways

Posted by: Retehi Jan 6 2009, 07:23 AM

A podcast at 2:00 AM EST is not exactly the most appealing thing to work with.

Posted by: AC9breaker Jan 6 2009, 12:02 PM

Yeah man, I've been working with a cold and Theraflu has the side effect of knocking me out. So when 11PM came I was out.

Posted by: donkeybeatz Jan 6 2009, 12:02 PM

This was disappointing. I mean you said Monday was good for you, then made everyone wait and show up way late. By then, D already went to bed and everyone that was on called quits for the night. And where was AC? You were on then you just disappeared.

Come on guys, you gotta pick up the slack. If you can't find the time to do this, just say so and we'll just move ahead. Don't make everyone wait up for you.

Posted by: AC9breaker Jan 6 2009, 01:23 PM

I thought we would be doing this earlier, but like I said Theraflu knocked me out. Sunday I'll definitly be up all night. Actually I vote that we continue the podcast this sunday weather Biryu is a no show or not.

Posted by: Wiryu Jan 6 2009, 02:00 PM

I get really wrapped up in this slew of events during the year. Between family, friends home from school, holidays, and birthdays, it's really tiring. Even saying "no" to someone asking me to come out for the night gets tiresome after a while. Easier just to go out, get it over with and go home. Just set a day and i'll do what I can to make it until things slow down.

Posted by: donkeybeatz Jan 11 2009, 01:38 PM

Just to remind everyone (again) that we're recording tonight. Please keep some of the stuff outlined in mind.

Posted by: tanshin Jan 12 2009, 08:58 AM

Doing the podcast was incredibly fun, thanks for having me.

Posted by: donkeybeatz Jan 12 2009, 02:42 PM

Episode is (finally) live! Check 1st post.

Posted by: AC9breaker Jan 12 2009, 06:50 PM

Man, that was a great podcast. I know I say this after every podcast but this really was our best podcast. One thing I was disappointed in was I forgot to introduce myself in the beginning and also I didn't get to make my final point when we where talking about the assisted gaming device for the Wii. I had made the example that I let my nieces play Naruto and I tell them to figure it out whenever they come across something difficult in the game. What I wanted to say before I got sidetrack by Tanshin's comment was that they can't always figure it out and they're not like me or some of us who keep on trying to figure something out. They instead get frustrated and stop playing. So then I usually have to provide a hint, and in the more extreme cases solve it for them. The new Nintendo device would play a similar role, as adult gamers we don't see the need for it but for the developing child it is definitely a great learning tool that wouldn't intimidate them or hurt their self esteem in the process. Plus we not see it yet but there could be applications for this device for adult serious gamers such as us, its still just an early idea.

Also I love having Tanshin and Twolf on the cast. We need them more often.
