Hello everyone. It's been a while to say the least. I hope everyone is fairing well.
Just today I was visiting the site and realized I haven't made a post or sent a message since 2007, and in all honesty I have only visited a few times in that period as well. I guess sometimes time gets away from you when you're drudging through the jungle of life eh? In any case, MIA no longer, I should be around more regularly once more. |

Hell yeah, welcome back dude! You've been missed. What games are you playing now? Most recently, Mass Effect 2. Probably give that a second run through soon, when I get it back from my brother. Also CoD MW2, But I don't get online as often as I'd like. Kinda wanting to give the new AVP a spin, and definitely looking forward to Fallout New Vegas. I just recently found out about FFXIV which i could get interested in as well. /galka My computer fried the HDD a couple months back, and I've yet to fix it or get a new one. It was way outdated anyway. Couldn't even support D10. Need to build a new Box. What's everyone doing lately? playing any games? lol |

Star Trek Online (for a short time longer, games dead already)
Metro 2033 MW2 AvP AI War: Fleet command (old school 2d sprite strat game ala moo1) DAO/DAOA Evil Genius (dungeon keeper style) WH40K Chaos Rising ME2 Trying to find a new mmo to keep me busy with. Otherwise I spend too much money on steam. May fire up EvE again, check out all the changes and new stuff. edit: think I may buy just cause 2 tonight before work and let it dl. Mr.Crushin said demo was killer, and looks good for sure |

Bayonetta White Knight Chronicles Heavy Rain Yakuza 3 Final Fantasy 13 Alien Versus Predator (Steam) Battlefield Bad Company 2 Dante's Inferno Miles Edgeworth: Investigations and I picked up ODST recently as well as Mass Effect on Steam. Totally forgot about the new DoW 2 expansion. -------------------- "Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. Welcome back my friend, it's great to see a topic with your name on it once again.
Since we are updating our gaming status as well as greeting the legend, I'll go next. To be honest, I have cut back significantly on gaming. I did play Modern Warfare 2 for a bit, but just couldn't break out of mediocrity. Stellar game though. Lately my gaming has been reduced to simply trying out demos from Xbox Live. Bayonetta is fun eye candy, and Just Cause 2 looks impressive. I went through a phase of buying bargain priced titles, but then not finishing them, so I have stopped buying new titles for a while, at least until I complete a few that are gathering dust. Of course Rock Band comes out when we have guests and alcoholic refreshments. My gamertag is Divewire if anyone wishes to add me, but I make no promises on my online availability. I did have some plans to do some reworking of the site, but that hasn't come to fruition yet. I am continually impressed by everyone's dedication to AT. |

I'm very pleased to see so many familiar names and faces around here. I find myself reminded just how resilient and diverse this community is. After catching up on a couple recent posts in Ops, I'm happy to see so much interest in a revitalization, and indeed redirection of AT. On a game related note, I was at a party last weekend and someone was playing a game called Heavy Rain, Has anyone played this title? I was pretty impressed by the graphics and atmosphere the game had going for it. Its a CSI/Detective type title, here's the trailer from youtube. Edit: I see several of you are playing AVP, thoughts on the game? I've been wanting to buy it, but past AVP titles have been well, less than stellar. I would be glad to see this one break that cycle, though. |

I think both games could be summed up in one sentence.
Full of lots of potential, but ultimately disappointing. But yeah, check out the podcasts to hear us get into more details on both games. -------------------- "Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. What's everyone doing lately? playing any games? lol On the multiplayer side of things I've been mostly playing MW2 and Battlefield BC2 (on XBL). Despite my railing against Activisions business practices, I grudgingly admit I'll be downloading the MW2 map pack as soon as its available. I just can't get enough of the game! Been playing a shitload of Final Fantasy 13, which was pretty horrible for the first 24 hours and now has turned around completely and I'm actually in love with the game. AT still needs a 4th man for our lead squad on BC2, Henge you can fill out the ranks! BOOGEYMAN TWO! Also started playing Diablo 2 again, of all things. New ladder season and v1.13 patch! -------------------- |

As for gaming, I've been suck into that endless void known as endgame raiding in WoW and ended up moving servers to a cst timezone one and ultimitly switching to alliance due to real world friends that play on that side. Every now and again I'll hit up the consoles, but sadly, the 360 seen more use as a netflix player and ps3 as a bluray player lately. I don't think I turned the wii on in almost year lol.

I have to agree AvP was lacking A lot like STO, so much possibility, and so ass in execution. Just Cause 2 however is fucking own.
I should bust out D2 and play that with you Mr.Crushin. I miss my undead horde Necromancer and zombie farm just doesn't cut it. At least you get to raid, my guild sucks. =( The ones that are local are a blast to chill with and are good, the supporting cast in the guild blows. Partial ICC10 tank gear, most badge gear and still die horribly on normal gormok 10. Sure DK are blah tanks, but not that ass. |

Duuuude we missed you! I guess I haven't posted here in a while either, but here is my super lame excuse: I switched to google chrome, and it doesn't have a easily accessible "Bookmarks" menu option like firefox does. When I'd use firefox, I'd routinely go down my list of bookmarks, and AT was on it. Since I was using chrome, I completely forgot to visit most of the sites I usually visited. Pretty laaaaame.
So yeah, I've been playing the crap out of Final Fantasy 13 and Dragon Age, and when I take breaks from that I've been trying to get achievements on all my older games. I don't have a lot of the latest games because I promised myself I would sink any more money into games until I finish the ones I have. (Batman Arkum Asylum, Bioshock ONE, Assassin's Creed ONE, extras on MW2, RE5, a bunch of other old ones) I too am looking forward to Fallout New Vegas and Final Fantasy XIV, those I think I will make exceptions for even if I haven't finished my old games. Does anyone else have a bad habit of just trying to buy all the latest games, regardless of your status on your older games *cough cough Crush cough*? -------------------- dueling, remade for modern audiences |

Sup dodes. I'm hijacking Henge's thread to say I too am back from... well, not being here much in the last couple years.
I ran into Crush on Xbox live a lil'while ago while playing Mass Effect 2. Told'em that I've been planning to get back to posting on AT soon, right before I went to Australia for a month. I'm back now though so I thought now would be a good time. What I've been up to... just the normal things any gen Y'er in their mid 20's would be doing I guess - school, hook up, get hired, break up, quit, travel, get hired, get fired, unemployment, anxiety, travel get hired, etc. I'm currently interning as a motion graphics designer in NYC. Anyway, just wanted to say what's up. I'll list some games I'm currently playing daily: PSP: FFVIII, BoF3, Monster Hunter FU PS3: FFXIII Xbox: Mass Effect 2 PC: Dragon Age Origins Games I will be playing soon: Wii: Monster Hunter Tri (I'm really excited for this, anyone else?) PC: FFXIV PC: Star Craft 2 I'll keep a look out for whatever you guys are playing and hopefully we'll game out like the good old days. |
