Apocalypse Tribe HQ _ The Lounge _ Stat bars

hmm there seems to be an error in the TP bar, we don't seem to be gaining any, just getting a higher max.

What do you think?
>eveybody

Shall we keep em or not? I'll have a look at the code and see if I can straighten out the TP bug in the meantime. I kinda like them but they don't actually serve any purpose other than to look pretty.

There is a mod for a "shop" feature where you can buy things with money(meseta?) earned by posting. Whatver you buy would show up in your profile in the topic view. You could buy pso weapons, mags, etc. Might be a fun add-on, but would require some work to be done creating little gif's to represent the purchased items. Just an idea..

Thoughts?

Well we could all be focaseals beigebigrazz.gif Seriously though about a shop hack... it's a really good idea, but it seems AWFULLY time consuming x.x

they're cool, if its not to difficult to get the TP bar working we may as well keep them. the shop hack sounds intresting. maybe that would give more people an insentive to do some role playing. heh

A true player doesn't complain about the TP they have they use the amount they have and like it.... I mean......

It doesnt' really bother me about the TP bar but what does the TP suppose to track?

I've been to a forum with the shop hack before and I've always liked how you can buy things that you can display as a status thing..... (made to sense to me either) its just too bad the one i saw didnt' have a storage bank for the extra's, you always had to take or leave what you want or didn't want

I'd roleplay a little but I'm not quite sure how or if I'm good at it >.>

I think that would be awesome, designing another character. Would there be stuff like HUmarls, HUnewms, ect.? Just wondering beigesmile.gif

Robots dont' need TP so I don't care!! beigelaugh.gif But that shop thing sounds cool, if it's not too much trouble. I could help with some of the sprite graphics if you needed.

Yea good idea, that's just the thing that we could do with the roleplay forum.

Thanks Crush, I'll look into it and see what size they should be and all. What kind of items do you guys want in the shop? Maybe make a list here so we know where to start. The purchased items could be displayed in your signature or in your Profile under the stat bars in topic view.

The TP bar Max increases the longer you are a member and how many posts you make. The current TP is supposed to increase with daily posts. I had a look at the code and made a change, we'll see if it works.

bleh it's still acting screwy, I am thinking about ditching them altogether. It was an interesting addition but like I said before they really served no purpose whatsoever. I can see if a site had primarily roleplaying threads than it would be useful but the whacky TP bar just bugs me beigesigh.gif

I'll find a more useful mod for that section. maybe custom profile fields like: Mood, Gender, Location, etc.
