Wow, they finally caught up to the arcade machines I was playing 10 years ago by adding a keyboard.
...and with a synthesizer available, you know what THAT means. More Nine Inch Nails! Haha. This is gonna be awesome though.

What if its a keytar!?!?

Rock Band 3 The 80's. I can dig it.

Rock Band 3 revealed! Some tidbits from the video:
There's now a Pro mode (I guess something similar to Guitar Hero's "Expert+" difficulty. EDIT: OK nevermind. It's NOT like that at all).
Keytar! It also has a touch strip. The model they have is only a prototype though.
Animation looks damn nice. I can see the improvements over RB2.
UI looks fairly the same.
Some songs that were revealed: 2000s Combat Baby -- Metric Dead End Friends -- Them Crooked Vultures Get Free -- The Vines Lasso -- Phoenix Me Enamora -- Juanes Oh My God -- Ida Maria Portions of Foxes -- Rilo Kiley The Hardest Button to Button -- The White Stripes
1990s Been Caught Stealing -- Jane's Addiction In the Meantime -- Spacehog Plush -- Stone Temple Pilots Walkin' on the Sun -- Smash Mouth
1980s Crazy Train -- Ozzy Osbourne Here I Go Again -- Whitesnake I Love Rock and Roll -- Joan Jett Just Like Heaven -- The Cure Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio The Power of Love -- Huey Lewis and the News Sister Christian -- Night Ranger
1960s-1970s Bohemian Rhapsody -- Queen Break On Through -- The Doors Crosstown Traffic -- Jimi Hendrix
GET HYPE!!
EDIT: Here's a bit more on gameplay features and the like:
Players can jump in or out of songs without interrupting a song already in progress. They can also change instruments or difficulty settings during a song without pausing. (Like the recent Guitar Heroes)
Rock Band Pro. This new music learning mode lets players develop real-world music-playing fundamentals for keyboards, guitars and drums. More realistic music notations replace the standard color-coded notes during gameplay. For guitar, numbers flow down the screen along six guitar strings, telling you where to place your hands on the neck and when to strum.
For drums, three new cymbals are added to the standard four drum pads, and you are forced to play the correct cymbal at the right time.
Again, leave it to HMX to actually raise the bar and take the stagnating music genre to the next level.
And the best part is, they do it without fucking over your previous investment in DLC and instruments. (although i'm totally getting another cymbal and one of these new guitars, lol)

Jesus, Harmonix! The new features sound so incredibly cool. I can't wait to play the game. I think I might get whatever new bundle comes out for this game, I gave the instruments I had (GH ones) to my little God brothers. This game sounds SO sick!

Lip quiveringly awesome. With each post I get more and more psyched.

It's almost time fellas. I ordered the Keyboard bundle of the game utilizing a deal that made it 100 bucks. Unfortunately, it won't arrive until a week after the game comes out . Still though, I'm incredibly psyched for the game. The early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, and it's been a while since the AT crew rocked-the-fuck-out together.
Who's still on board for the epicness?

Aw yeah baby!
Also important protips for RB2 owners on importing:
QUOTE
Rock Band 3 is ready to receive the 1.93GB Rock Band 2 song export. RockBandAide details the export process (actually a track pack download) that requires $10 and the code from the back of your Rock Band 2 instruction manual, originally used for some bonus downloadable tracks. To redeem the code, go into the "Get More Songs" menu in Rock Band 3 and head on over to the "Redeem Code" option.
The five songs that will not survive the export process are: AC/DC – "Let There Be Rock" Journey – "Any Way You Want It" Metallica – "Battery" Red Hot Chili Peppers – "Give It Away" Soundgarden – "Spoonman"
RockBandAide reports nine songs from Harmonix bands will also not make it through the journey, but don't stop believin' in the company's bands, because they'll reportedly return as free DLC packs. Also, if you'd previously paid for the license transfer for Rock Band 1 tracks, don't worry -- those tracks are all set on your hard drive and ready for rockin'.
Nooooo @ our epic-set ending classic "Any Way You Want It"!!!! That was an Apocalypse Tribe staple! We'll have to replace it with Freebird, I guess.
