Which class is everyone playing?

Posted by: Scan_Man May 14 2012, 09:58 AM

Wizard for me.

Posted by: Crushinator May 14 2012, 09:58 AM

Witch Doctor to start, then after I beat normal the first time my 2nd char will either be Wizard or Barbarian.

Posted by: Oddies da Nerfed May 14 2012, 07:38 PM

Rolling with Demon Hunter myself.

Monk, I think.

How about that log on boss? I was able to get on and get in a game, then I made the mistake of backing out.

Posted by: Crushinator May 15 2012, 02:20 PM

I've been playing nonstop since I first logged on, been playing with Oddies, Donkey, and Tanshin throughout the night.

We're on Act 4 now, about to make the final assault (I think?).

That bad of a game huh?

Posted by: Crushinator May 15 2012, 02:42 PM

Yeah its fucking terrible. Biggest disappointment since Sonic 2006. I want my money back.

Posted by: Crushinator May 15 2012, 03:46 PM

OK, so we beat it, without a moment to spare. The server was going down for emergency maintenence in 15 minutes the SECOND we stepped into Diablo's lair.

It was fucking awesome, we actually beat him on our first try (although many deaths were had). AC9breaker was on the skype chat and blasted us with awe inspiring music to push us through the battle. Oddies and I stuck it through the whole game from start to finish in one session, took about 14 hours all told.

Servers are down now, and I'm tired, but I'm chomping at the bit to jump back in as a new char (Barb for sure since I've seen a lot of wizard so far), and tackle nightmare on my WD.

Thanks to Donkey, Tanshin, and Malaki for helping us through parts of the journey! buttrock.gif evilking.gif

I would of had it beat it like 7 hours, but the folks I am playing with are sloooooooow. They stop every 5 minutes for 3 minutes at a time. Folks need to learn to check skill tooltips, item tool tips, manage inventory, change out skills, while moving and attacking. No stopping bullshit and having to port to town and take 10 minutes. Gawd!

It's cool you can get more game content if you search every nook and cranny. A lot of EU players were getting through normal in 5 hours, it had me worried about length of the game at first. But no, its quite a lot of game here if you look for it. Then you got achievements and stuff.

But I saw you guys, in the game moving at a steady pace.

And now after the server maintenance I lost all my achievements.... ARGH.

So I've been considering picking this up, is it worth it?

**edit**

I read that the retail box versions have a guest pass, if anyone has one and is willing to send one my way I'd appreciate it.

Posted by: Crushinator May 24 2012, 08:40 AM

Yes, its definitely worth it. If you enjoyed Diablo 2, Titan Quest, or any other dungeon-crawl loot games then you'll be quite happy with D3.

I think the majority of us bought the digital version, which didn't include guest passes... but I know a few people picked up the boxed version so you may be in luck, haha.
