I say we all play Diablo 2. *uses Peter Griffin's classic persuasion technique* Come on, come ooon! A lot of us can't play FFXI and Monster Hunter for a variety of reasons: no PS2, a shitty computer, the monthly fee, etc. My solution is to play Diablo 2. There's no monthly fee, it's cheap and it runs on your PC -- and it doesn't require high specs.
So, let's all jump aboard onto this wonderful game which enables a level 99 to group with a level 1 character and enjoy our time together. Who's with me? :D
Mmmmm, no monthly fee, cheap, and just possibly, easy on my ghetto modem.
The kinda game my cheap ass can hook up on.
I'm aiming to get it friday, necromancer ahoy!
Interesting. Does anyone know if PC and Mac users can play together? If they do, then http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004W1B2/104-3770566-4295909?v=glance
I have D2, and I may install it again if I have time.
I'm gonna pick it up today At least, I think I am.
Juggling around 3 games is gonna be hard ;x Especially since I want to get back into raiding on EQ and we have the events forum here now.
But if there's no group level restriction it won't bug me too much
PS- Retehi: stfu and twitch me

wow! fun!
I have a Diablo type game for my GC and I loved it!
I would totally be into this... especially if both platforms can hook up together. Nice of Blizzard to do that.

Wow those are really low for system reqs but that would suck if people actually used a 28.8k modem. It would be like getting on and playing a quick game of lag fest =X I may have to look at this some more and Im pretty sure my friend already has it so maybe I'll jump on just to smash some badies with everyone.
D2 get! ;o
I dunno if I'll have time to install/patch tonight though ._.
Someone teach me how to play when I can get on it ;x
I've had this game for like 4 years. Lost my serial number though, and I don't have the expansion.
You can have 8-man teams, and as team members join the game, the monsters get stronger, yet dole out more EXP.
The community of this game wasn't as great as PSO was however. Still was a fun game though. Never did take out Diablo though.
I have D2 and expansion, actually currently installed on my computer. It's one of those games I always go back to playing every 6 months or so, so I never uninstall it.
I hate the online D2 community though, everyone is assholes. It's great fun when you play multiplayer with your friends, though.

There SCU, you better play this, or I'll kick your butt!
I have a lvl 82 Barb in D2 if you guys ever need some help killing Diablo or Baal or whatever. I can solo everything up until Diablo on the hardest difficulty level(Hell). So yeah...just offering my services if needed.
I have D2 and expansion. I used to have soem really high level chars and equipment, but my accounts have surely expired by now. I can play whenever.
Yeah, Blizzard usually purges inactive accounts after 90 days.
As I'm installing this, the all-important question occurs to me...
Which server to go to..? Usually when I play Blizzard games I go on the US East because 56k > me, but it really doesn't matter to me much.
Well.. WELL!! This looks like something is coming together! Very cool!
I am going to go today, during lunch, and see if I can find this game. I'm sure I can because there are like 5 game-type store right near me.
Too bad the key I used to get the game up isn't accepted by BNet, otherwise I'd be up for some online action.
If you manage to get Foxboy on there, I suppose I'll just have to install it once again.
Looks like we could have some really good times on there.
We'll all always play on USEast
when you log on B.Net and get to the chat room type in /Join Apocalypse Tribe and it will put you in the AT chat
The game name for us will always be AT and the password you all should know by now.
had the diablo battle chest at one point in time but alyssa got into my desk and i cant find all the disks now ;/ and i think one of them may have been broken a while back. i talked to someone a while ago who used to play it online and he said there's a lot of problems with old players on there that hacked the hell out of the game to get good gear and just kill all the new players that try to join ..there was supposed to be a patch a while back but never looked into it since i dont have the game anymore.

Looks like I'll have to get a new copy of the game, since I don't think I can get a new (legit) key by now. The old one went with my old PC.
well... joy!
I am holding in my hands D2 and the expansion pack.
Here's to a great @#$%ing AT time!
See you kats online.
*cough*Dive*cough*
ah very kewl dor. maybe i'll look into getting this game again one day. right now i'm trying to download a game i used to play while it was in open beta, just for the heck of messing with it's free 14 days. http://FWO.EdenII.com
I'm trying to get my girlfriend into this game. Hopefully I can find it somewhere when I go to see her tomorrow.
Diablo II instalation complete!
Everyone make non-ladder characters, please Just realized the two can't play together.
EDIT: Going on now. Someone join me :D Meet in chat room Apocalypse Tribe. Some retards have stolen "AT." If that doesn't work, create ATHQ with the fated password.
I'll be on xAstrid, so /whisper xAstrid <text> when you get on, please :D
diablo 2 is not PsO.. >.>
lol..
i remember playing diablo 1 from times before; interesting concept, but one thing that stood against me getting too involved with the genre was the controls.. but then again, i'm more a console person as opposed to a mouse/KB person..
*still patiently waiting for the next big-thing.. ;p*
There has been a change, the game name "AT" seems to always be in use, eaither do to someone useing it, or due to a game error after we left it one day.
the new game name will be ATHQ and the passwords you still should know (fo all those who don't who want to play, just meet us in the Apocalypse Tribe chat on diablo 2 ^^ the paswords is top secret and I will personally kick dive in the face if you tell anyone.

Diablo II instalation complete! |
I just got home, about to install it, after I eat a bit.
Druid and necro ahoy!
well the name Ellianna is taken /cry i'll be using Elli and i'm an Assasin
OK, just got mine, and my girlfriend's (and just got back from there... goddamn I4 >_>).
14 Druid now, named Retehi.
Damn this games fun, I should of got this sooner.
Where the hell where the rest of you?
I lost my D2 and expansion, I'd have to buy another.
(I wonder if there are any other free online MMORPGs that we could do...)
My first game was a total success.
Gold Star thanks to our Astrid, Dorian and Elli for all the fun.
Extra special thanks to Astrid for being patient with me while I tried (am still trying) to learn the controls. I promise I will keep better inventory management from now on. hehhe.
We are going to meet up on sunday night (the 17th) also. Last night we didn't start playing until after midnight. It might be earlier on sunday though...
You can find me as DarkEpyon9999. My main character is a druid named Doggie_Krueger.
got my assasin to lvl 13 :D ...died a couple more times too..i think i hold some kind of record for suicide on this game
hehhee...
I HAVE to assume that Paladin's can take MUCH damage than normal because I haven't died once. There is no way that I am any kind of good player either. I die opening a door in PSO! :D
This game is surprisingly fun too. No, it is by no means PSO, but it's still a damn good time.
Thanks to our Retehi for the new shield too.
Last night was great fun indeed. Poor countess.... she never stood a chance against the mighty
Well, you guys aleady know this: but my assassin is FieryRogue and my amazon is xAstrid.
I've come to the conclusion that assassin is much more fun than amazon, since I decided to experiment with the latter this time.
I've noticed that we met in chat room ATHQ instead of Apocalypse Tribe last night. Which would you prefer to use? Let's try to pick one to avoid future confusion.
I got my Amazon (Vajulla) to the beginning of Act II earlier today with Retehi and Ellianna. She's level 14 and I'm strictly only going to use her when we all get together.
Tho I won't be on all the time since I'll likely be on Monster Hunter. I only took a break from it yesterday to play through some Diablo 2 areas with Retehi. So don't go thinking I deserted you Donkey.
