At the end of this month I plan to go to an anime convention with my girlfriend. This will be my first, and her second.

I plan on going as MK! Raiden

Why is this here?

As someone on the cosplay.com board once said (and I paraphrase) "Cosplay is the ultimate fanart!"

LOL!
That looks like Fat Albert meets Pokemon! Seriously though, I give props to anyone willing to do this, and are brave enough to put their pics online.

I think that pic is a couple years old. While it's all in fun, some characters just weren't meant to be cosplayed.

Maybe I'll save the Shadow thing for another day. Lately I've been hit with the inspiration to go as Raiden. Not the MKD one, but "old skool" one from 1992. Simple enough.

LMAO!!!

OMG... that's too funny! What makes it funnier was when I had that game on SNES, my dad always played it with me.

Guess who his fave character was.

Liu Kang.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Then Dive could be one of the ninjas. But tan or crush would probably want the honors. We could do pretty much everyone except Goro/Kintaro/Motaro/Onaga.

Well, just got back a few hours ago. I went with my g/f, my sister, her b/f, and a friend of theirs. My g/f went as a punk-rock version of Jounochi from YGO. My sister and the others didn't cosplay. I got some Pocky and a couple Gundam models (Deathscythe and Wing Zero Custom) from the dealers. Seemed like every 15-20 minutes I heard, "Rayden, can I take your picture?"

Then, when we were getting ready to leave, some dude comes up to and asks "can you please sign me?" I was like "Huh? This dude can't be serious." So I agreen and he hands me a sharpie. Half his body was covered in duct tape! He had a bunch of pictures and signaturse on there already. I was like "is there any free space left?" and his friend says "Yeah on his leg."

All in all, it was a great experience, save for the arm/leg wraps kept unraveling. Next time though, time to bust out the tape.
