I noticed this on the PSOw web site...pretty disapointing to hear.
http://www.gamesarefun.com/cgi-bin/newspro/fullnews.cgi?newsid1052926399,83586,
I would hope that this is not the case...but seems to be official news.
I would think they mean that as in it is the last PSO1...no more expansions or new episodes. Which means that whats next is PSO2!!!!
Didnt something like this happen with tomb radier? Saying they were maikin no more, etc. Then they did. Hmm perhaps there will be something new,or maybe its agonna be a VR game.Like the matrix.....

Truly disappointing news indeed. I know that a Phantasy Star V is being developed, but I don't think it has anything to do with Sonic Team. Perhaps, the PSO development will head elsewhere? I'm not totally sure how the whole thing works out. But I do know, that I've been waiting for a new NiGHTS game for ages... and as each E3 passes by, I've learned not to hold my breath. Oh well, I suppose we'll just have to enjoy PSO while we've got it. ^_^
Its a little hard for me to put too much credence in this, especially since the latest installment isn't even out yet. But, I guess logistically ST would give up on the idea of new PSO sequels if it looks like the franchise isn't popular enough to pull in enough cash.
Hmmm, that is kinda depressing. On second thought I like Crush's take on the statement better.
Yeah I heard that too...NOT COOL ah well....if it's true, I'll have to play the hell out of GC PSO.
